Many of the people who are followers and fans of anime may be familiar with the origin of this type of animation but I also believe that there will be a few who have no idea; and it's okay not to know, it is not something that is an obligation or necessary to enjoy this world. Even so today I decided to make a small summary talking about the beginnings of anime and see a little of its evolution.
I have been a consumer of anime since I was about 8-9 years old, being the first thing I saw Dragon Ball and the Knights of the Zodiac, and if we go a little further back I could say that I also saw Mazinger Z on occasion. The truth is that many of these stories are already part of the life of many people around here and despite the time they are still valid. Let's go then with the beginnings of this movement.
As is more than obvious, anime was born in Japan at the beginning of the last century as a response to the immense success that Disney was having in the United States, and it did so through a very short animation. Its creator, Junichi Kouchi, was the visionary mind who had the idea of coming up with the first anime that is known today.
Time went by and this movement, which was clearly something new for the people but which was not yet what it is today, was still going strong. From two minutes long, it went to approximately 15 minutes where the only thing that was talked about were the typical stories of oriental folklore. In fact, one of the first ones was "Norakuro" in the 30's, but unfortunately the Second World War came and everything came to a standstill.
The most important date of anime I think was, without any doubt, the year 1957 because it was when the first animation was launched by the giant "Toei Animation" which was called "Koneko no rakugaki" and lasted fifteen minutes more or less. It goes without saying that this company of creation and massification of anime is the most influential and important in the world because even today they continue to produce some of the stories that captivated us at the time.
From that moment on, everything was a rocket that never stopped, Toei began to create and mass produce stories around the 60's which were characterized by their great method for animation but above all for the particular stories that came to emerge. Things like Mazinger Z, Spirited Away, Candy Candy, the aforementioned Dragon Ball and Zodiac Knights, Slam Dunk, among dozens more were born.
But if in addition to Toei there is someone who should be recognized, it is Osamu Tezuka, who today is considered the master and precursor of anime as we know it today. In case you can't place him, he was the creator of one of the most mythical stories, "Astroboy", a series that most of our parents grew up with.
In the 70's we entered the era of robots where everything seemed to be dominated by stories about or about them. This genre was very important because it was a giant step for the expansion of anime with series like Mazinger Z, Gundam and also Doreamon, that cosmic cat. This decade was undoubtedly the one that opened the doors for the years to come where it was really the "BOOM" of anime as we know it today.
It seems a short trip but the truth is that it is not, over the years anime has undergone variations and modifications that have made it manage to stay in time. Besides the fact that it is already part of a deeply rooted way in the cultural life of Japan and of course, in the lifestyle of many people around the world.
What I find amazing is that despite the passing years, more and more stories keep coming out that continue to hook people with unique stories, in my case it was with "Attack on Titan", a true gem of anime which I am eagerly awaiting its series finale for 2022.
¡Un abrazo a todos, nos leemos en la próxima!
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.
¡Hugs to all, see you next time!
