Toda la vida he sido más de admirar a los personajes secundarios o los compañeros del principal, los renegados o los de mal carácter, que bien podrían ser principales también. Mientras que los personajes principales son cheveres, me agradan pero difícil que sean mis favoritos. ¿Y eso por qué? La verdad no sé, así que escoger el personaje que más me gusta fue complicado, porque cambia según la situación.

Este personaje es original de la novela ligera de Aneko Yusagi en 2013, luego pasó a tener una adaptación al manga en 2014 y uno adaptación al anime para el año 2019, que fue cuando la pude ver en emisión (solo he visto la versión del anime). Se traduce en el Renacer del Héroe del Escudo” es de género aventura, otro mundo, fantasía y le agregaría psicológico, en la división Seinen (para hombres adultos).

La sinopsis se trata de 4 jóvenes que son invocados a otro mundo (isekai) para reencarnar a los 4 héroes legendarios que salvarán el mundo de las "Oleadas de la Calamidad", entre ellos está Naofumi quien fue escogido por el escudo, la única arma defensiva que es incapaz de atacar, haciéndolo el tanque del grupo. Esto lo hace sentir un poco atrás y débil pero dispuesto a cumplir su misión. Éste personaje comienza siendo una persona poco sociable aunque entusiasta, por lo que termina con solo una compañera, Malty la princesa de Melmarc, para comenzar su jornada en este nuevo mundo. Ésta (loca) lo traiciona acusándolo de abuso sexual ante su padre, los otros héroes y el reino, dejando a Naofumi sin recursos, odiado por todos en el reino y solo con su escudo que es básicamente parte de él.

Después de toda esta traición, que no entiende cómo ocurrió, Naofumi se vuelve desconfiado, rencoroso, vengativo y odia a la humanidad pero entiende que la única manera de sobrevivir es subiendo de nivel usando su inteligencia, astucia y por supuesto el escudo. Este mundo es como un video juego, donde puedes construir cosas juntando materiales, subes de nivel y por suerte nuestro héroe es un experto en ellos. Descubrió que era capaz de aumentar de nivel el escudo, de crear medicinas y desbloquear habilidades. Al no poder atacar compró una joven esclava demi-humano con rasgos de mapache llamada Raphtalia, asegurando que ya tenía una reputación del asco así que si tenía un esclavo no lo empeoraría. Además el hombre no creía en nadie más y si esta criatura lo desobedece llega a recibir un gran daño. Ella sería la espada del escudo.

Si, Naofumi tenía mucho odio, rencor y desconfianza en su interior haciéndolo un hombre oscuro y que le importara poco el bienestar o lo que hicieran los demás. Se valió de conseguir materiales, atacar monstruos, hacer trabajos menores y la comercialización pero lo cierto es que seguía siendo una muy buena persona. Curó y cuidó a Raphtalia como su hija, consiguió otro demi-humano (Filo) que crió de igual manera, viajó entre pueblo y pueblo sanando a los enfermos, dándole el nombre de "El Santo del Dios Pájaro"; aprendió nuevas habilidades para mantener a su nueva familia, liberó esclavos y aún así seguía siendo perseguido y acusado de demonio y depravado por el reino donde lo invocaron. Sólo pretendía ser duro en el exterior y sí se hacía pasar por villano por su propia diversión para que no se le acercaran pero mientras más estaba ese mundo más lo comprendía y su oscuridad interior se disipaba con el afecto que forma con Raphtalia y Filo.

Lo que me gusta de este personaje es que no se da por vencido, ni intenta demostrar algo, solo quiere sobrevivir. Si es un héroe o no, ya está atrapado en un mundo diferente al suyo y no se puede morir de hambre e igual será teletransportado al peligro cuando llegue el momento, así que debe prepararse. El trauma de este personaje no lo detiene y cuando está apunto de caer en un vacío horrible cuenta con sus compañeras Raphtalia y Filo, quienes al principio ve como armas pero fue inevitable demostrar que las quería y se preocupaba por ellas. Para mi este personaje tiene un corazón de oro,una astucia inigualable, unas ganas infinitas de vivir y un amor por la justicia muy clara.

Me hace sentir que siempre hay que ver lo que tienes enfrente y lidiar con ello, lo que no puedes controlar o te saca de tu centro simplemente no vale la pena, continúa.Sin duda es uno de mis personajes principales favoritos de un anime, algún día encontraré el que me vuelva loca.

All my life I've been more of a fan of the secondary characters or the main character's companions, the renegades or those with a bad temper, who might as well be main characters too. While the main characters are cool, I like them, but it's hard to make them my favorite. Why is that? I really don't know, so choosing the character I like the most was complicated, because it changes depending on the situation.

This character is original from the light novel by Aneko Yusagi in 2013, then went on to have a manga adaptation in 2013 and an anime adaptation for 2019, which was when I was able to see it on broadcast (I've only seen the anime version). It translates to "Rising o of the Shield Hero". It is an adventure genre, other world, fantasy, I would add psychological, in the Seinen division (for adult men).

The synopsis is about 4 young people being summoned to another world (isekai) to reincarnate the 4 legendary heroes who will save the world from the "Waves of Calamity", among it is Naofumi who was chosen because of the shield, the only defensive weapon that is unable to attack, making him the tank of the group. This makes Naofumi feel a bit backward and weak but willing to accomplish his mission. This character starts out as an enthusiastic but unsociable person, so he ends up with only one companion, Malty the princess of Melmarc, to begin his journey in this new world. This (crazy) betrays him accusing him of sexual abuse to his father, the other heroes and the kingdom leaving Naofumi without resources, hated by everyone in the kingdom and only with his shield, which is basically part of him.

After all this betrayal, which he does not understand how it happened, Naofumi becomes distrustful, spiteful, vengeful and hates humanity but understands that the only way to survive is by leveling up using his intelligence, cunning and of course the shield. This world is like a video game, where you can build things by gathering materials, you level up and luckily our hero is an expert in them. He discovered that he was able to level up the shield, create medicines and unlock skills. Unable to attack he bought a young demi-human slave with raccoon features named Raphtalia, claiming he already had a reputation that sucked so if he had a slave he wouldn't make it worse. Besides the man didn't believe in anyone else and if this creature disobeyed him she would receive great harm. She would be the sword of the shield.

Yes, Naofumi had a lot of hatred, resentment and distrust inside him making him a dark man who cared little about the well-being or what others did. He made use of getting materials, attacking monsters, small jobs and trading but the truth is that he was still a very good person. He cured and cared for Raphtalia as his daughter, got another demi-human (Filo) that he raised in the same way, traveled from village to village healing the sick, giving him the name "The Saint of the Bird God"; he learned new skills to support his new family, freed slaves and yet he was still persecuted and accused of being a demon and depraved by the kingdom where he was summoned. He only pretended to be tough on the outside and yes he pretended to be a villain for his own amusement to keep them away from him, but the more he stayed in that world the more he understood it and his inner darkness dissipated with the affection he forms with Raphtalia and Filo.

What I like about this character is that he doesn't give up, nor does he try to prove anything he just wants to survive. Whether he's a hero or not, he's already trapped in a world different from his own and can't starve and will still be teleported into danger when the time comes, so he should prepare himself. This character's trauma doesn't stop him and when he is about to fall into a horrible void he counts on his companions Raphtalia and Filo, who at first he sees as weapons but it was inevitable to show that he loved and cared for them. For me this character has a heart of gold, an unmatched cunning, an infinite desire to live and a very clear love for justice.

It makes me feel that you always have to see what's in front of you and deal with it, what you can't control or takes you out of your center just isn't worth it, keep going.He's definitely one of my favorite main characters in an anime, someday I'll find the one that drives me crazy.
