Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying the weekend. Mine? Just pissed. Kidding.
The highlight of my day is watching the anime series called Bofuri: Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. The title is so long, right? I will just refer to it as "Bofuri" in this blog.
Today, I just finished the anime series, phew! I watched one episode per day during weekdays so that I can move on to other anime series too. Today, I watched the last four episodes.
My review
!!! Some parts contain spoilers!!!
I just want to say that this is purely based on my preferences and taste in anime.
This anime was recommended by . We were discussing cute animes and he suggested to me that I have to watch this anime series. Heck, it was a long title. I got interested more when he sent me a GIF of the main character. I googled it first and found that it was indeed a kawaii anime series.

I then watched the first episode. Ahh~ I cannot contain the cuteness of the main character, Maple. She is just a typical teenager who goes to school and plays video games at night. It was a good episode, and so I watched more. I watched two or more, but then it started to get boring. In about the 4th episode, the plot was just repetitive. Maple would then get stronger and stronger, repeating going to the forest and fight monster, and all.
It is just a plain series of episodes with a spike in between. Well, that is the whole point of the anime series, right? The turn of the story was when Maple and her friend Sally bought a house for their guild. They invited some of their virtual friends to become guild mates. They then trained as a guild to become stronger and invincible. The characters have different powers which was quite interesting. The guild's goal was to be on the top list and to defeat all guilds.
So, of course, they encounter monsters and quest along the way. After finishing these side quests, they will gain power. What was funny was they can literally eat the monsters to defeat them. Maple used that approach to acquire Hydra and Demon Knight. Now she is freaking invincible, like literally max out defense as the title said.
Mii was one of the main antagonists of the anime series. She lashes out fire and scorching fireballs. She encountered Maple and the two sisters in the open field together with her guildmates, Misery and Markus. Maple defeated her thanks to the Machine God form. Mii tried to self-destruct but failed.
At this point, most of the guilds were wiped out. The Holy Sword was then faced up with Maple Tree. Maple dealt great damage from Payne's attack. She countered and attacked Payne but he managed to hold his ground. Maple is back in her Atrocity form to destroy Payne and the whole Holy Sword guild. Maple Tree eliminated more guilds to gain the orbs. The event ended with Maple Tree placing third. The Holy Sword and Flame Emperors were invited by Maple to celebrate and watch the highlights.

Conclusion
I am not a fan of the plot because I find some parts plain and repetitive, with a little bit of ups in between. I got excited in the first two episodes but got tired of the plot in the succeeding episodes. If you like cuteness and video games, this anime series might be for you. The characters have different powers which makes the story a bit interesting.
My rating would be 2/10, plus three for the cuteness. Will I watch season 2? Probably not.
That is it for this article. I will see you at the next one!
