A few days ago, I was watching something with my niece—who recommended an anime to me that I absolutely loved. Although it seems to have a second season (I really hope so, haha!), it’s called Tamon's B-side. It’s about a K-pop group where the members are completely different from the image they project to their fans; however, after going through some tough times, they rediscover their true selves and end up becoming incredibly famous because they manage to build much greater self-confidence.

Hace unos días estuve viendo junto a mi sobrina, que me recomendó un anime que me fascinó; aunque al parecer tiene una segunda temporada (espero que sí, jaja), se llama Tamon's B-side y trata de una banda de kpop donde los chicos son totalmente diferentes a la imagen que quieren mostrar a sus fans, pero que al pasar por momentos difíciles retoman su esencia y llegan a ser muy famosos porque logran tenerse mucha más confianza en sí mismos.
In a way, this story reminds me a lot of myself, since I absolutely adore a certain J-pop singer—he’s my favorite in everything he does! The only difference is that the protagonist of this anime is somewhat insecure and prone to depression.
Esta historia me recuerda mucho, en cierto modo, a mí, ya que yo amo muchísimo a un cantante de J-pop y es mi favorito en todo lo que hace. Solo que el protagonista de este anime es algo inseguro y depresivo.
It’s titled Tamon's B-side because it represents his hidden personality—shy, pessimistic, and melancholic—when he’s offstage, in stark contrast to the energetic, wild, and self-assured "idol" persona he presents to the public.
Se llama Tamon's B-side porque representa su personalidad oculta, tímida, pesimista y melancólica fuera del escenario, en contraste con su imagen de idol energética, salvaje y segura de sí misma que muestra al público.
The plot is highly entertaining, as the other members also have their own storylines running alongside their work as idols.
Utage Kinoshita is a girl who is deeply in love with Tamon; she eventually ends up working as his housekeeper. Through this role, she gets to know him as he truly is—and falls even more in love—because she realizes that, as his number one fan, she can actually help him gain more self-confidence.
Es muy entretenida la trama porque los otros miembros también tienen sus historias paralelas a su trabajo como ídolos.
Utage Kinoshita es la chica que está muy enamorada de Tamon y llega a ser su empleada doméstica. Entonces ella lo llega a conocer como en realidad es y se enamora aún más porque piensa que, aun siendo su fan número uno, puede ayudarlo a tener más confianza en sí mismo.
