Interview back in 2019
In an interview back in 2019. This is what Miura had to say about recent events.
Interviewer: The renuinion between Guts and Casca is imminent and the confrontation with Griffith is looming. Is the end of Berserk approaching?
You estimate it to be 60-70% of the story in 2009, after 176 chapters... This number has now doubled!
Miura: For the reunion between Guts and Casca, it's done. I think I'm always wrong when I try to estimate this kind of delay. However, it is true that the first serious duel with griffith is approaching. As for the overall advancement of the series, However... It's coming to an end, thats for sure.
But If I say that there is still a fifth or a quarter to draw, this estimate may be lower than the reality. So I prefer not to advance.
Interviewer: It's true that the story/plot is still going fine.
Miura: Yeah I think so and it's going to focus again on Guts and Griffith. We're nearing the final chapter.

Message from Miura's assistant
According to Miura's editor, chapter 364 was the last where Kentaro Miura worked on. And there is a note for all fans of Kentaro Miura:
We wouldlike to take opportunity to thank all of our Berserk readers for your continued support.
The Berserk chapter 364 published in this volume is the last work of Kentaro Miura. We were able to carry on the manuscript he left behind and publish this time thanks to dedicated support of the Studio Gaga members, who worked on Berserk together with Kentaro Miura over the years.
Also, we are delight to announce the lastest release of the comic book this December. We thank akk readers for waiting such a long time, especially, in the circumstance where information was unclear and ambigous. This volume also serves as a special memorial to Kentaro Miura as his last manuscript. We decided to use his ink perceiveable event from the ink sketches.
We hope that you will feel the devotion that he put into his work. In creating this volume, we have grown deeply aware oh how big and powerful Berserk was to us, just like Guts' Mighty Iron Sword.
We are deeply sorry to inform that there is no information to share about the future of the Berserk series at this time. One thing we can promise you is that Young Animal, the publisher that has worked with Kentaro Miura on Berserk, our first priority will always be placed on him - what he would think if he were still with us. Last but not least, we have a message for all fans from Japan and overseas. We have read all the letters that have been sent in with great appreciation. We would like to express our gratitude to you once again for your continuous love and support.
Sincerely,

My toughts
A Tear Like Morning Dew: long awaited chapter...
With this chapter we are nearly coming to the end of the Fantasia arc. This chapter answers some questions while openning door to another. In the first place, long ago, drawing Prototype chapter. Miura didn't planned any thing like even the Band of the Hawk, planned in years but not in the beginning. He is not a guy that would plan while drawing, all the biig title mangakas have tought when their series get popular year by year. Chapter 364 was his last drawing, but I think he wrote other chapters at least his plans.
The chances are not heartwarming, this could be the last chapter, we could get a novel or a booklet of Miura's plans for the story, or Young Animal can let the assistans finish the legacy of great master.
This is my first and longest article on hive, I'm planning to write more articles about mangas, thanks for reading.
