A couple of weeks ago I made a top with the movies/specials/OVAS that I liked the most from Dragon Ball.
Hace un par de semanas hice un top con las películas/especiales/OVAS que más me gustaron de Dragón Ball.
This time I want to do the opposite. A top with the ones I liked the least. Based on what I got to see and my subjective criteria.
En esta oportunidad quiero hacer lo opuesto. Un top con las que menos me gustaron. Basándome en lo que llegué a ver y en mi criterio subjetivo.
🔹🔸 5. DRAGON BALL Z BIO-BROLY 🔸🔹
Actually, this movie is not as disastrous as it's made out to be. It has decent animation, good fight sequences and an interesting premise. Besides, they give Trunks and Goten a starring role. Which is something to appreciate when they give room to characters other than Goku and Vegeta.
Realmente, esta película no es tan desastrosa como la pintan. Tiene una animación decente, buenas secuencias de pelea y una interesante premisa. Aparte que le dan protagonismo a Trunks y Goten. Cosa que es de valorar cuando le dan lugar a otros personajes fuera de Goku y Vegeta.
The huge problem with this movie is Broly. I said several times that I didn't like Z's Broly and that I preferred his Super version more. Besides, I think that in this movie he had his worst participation of all. Where he comes out as a deformed being and replete with goo. That makes him look horrible and disgusting.
El grandísimo problema que tiene esta película es Broly. Varias veces dije que Broly de Z no me gustaba y que prefería más su versión de Súper. Aparte, creo que en esta película tuvo su peor participación de todas. Donde sale como un ser deforme y repleto de una sustancia viscosa. Que lo hace ver horrible y repugnante
🔹🔸 4. DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF GODS 🔸🔹
This movie is not that bad, but I add it to the top because I consider it to be the beginning of the worst stage of Dragon Ball. Since it came out until now, almost everything oscillates between bad and mediocre.
Esta película no es tan mala, pero la agrego al top porque considero que es el inicio de la peor etapa de Dragón Ball. Desde que salió hasta ahora, casi todo oscila entre lo malo y lo mediocre.
From this moment on, they started giving away stupid transformations. Starting with the one that appears in this movie, the SSJ God. That is achieved by simply having 6 Saiyan holding hands and surrounding another Saiyan. That's how easy it was to get a transformation that far surpasses SSJ 3. Added to the excessive childishness and embarrassing scenes. Like Vegeta singing and dancing bingo. What a way to damage such a good character.
A partir de este momento se empezaron a regalar transformaciones a lo estúpido. Empezando por la que sale en esta película, el SSJ Dios. Que se consigue al simplemente al tener 6 Saiyan agarrados de la mano y rodeando a otro Saiyan. Así de fácil se consiguió una transformación que supera ampliamente al SSJ 3. Sumado a la excesiva infantilización y a escenas vergonzosas. Como la de Vegeta cantando y bailando bingo. Qué manera de dañar a un personaje tan bueno.
🔹🔸 3. DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO 🔸🔹
It pains me a lot to put this movie in the top. Since at the time I had high expectations for it. More knowing that it was going to be starring Gohan. Who is my favorite character in all of Dragon Ball.
Me duele mucho poner esta película dentro del top. Ya que en su momento tenía muchas expectativas puestas en ella. Más sabiendo que iba a estar protagonizada por Gohan. Que es mi personaje favorito de todo Dragón Ball.
Unfortunately, almost everything is bad. The animation done entirely by CGI sucks. The movie almost entirely is a recycling to appeal to nostalgia. I'd say it's the movie with the least originality in Dragon Ball. It has too many plot problems. The new transformations of Gohan and Piccolo, despite looking good aesthetically, are the laziest and most pointless in the franchise. Lastly, it has excessive and overly childish humor. Which often breaks the few serious and tense moments.
Por desgracia, casi todo está mal. La animación hecha totalmente por CGI es un asco. La película casi por completo es un reciclaje para apelar a la nostalgia. Diría que es la película con menos originalidad de Dragón Ball. Tiene demasiados problemas argumentales. Las nuevas transformaciones de Gohan y Piccolo, a pesar de que se ven bien estéticamente, son las más perezosas y sin sentido de la franquicia. Por último, tiene exceso de humor y encima infantil. Lo que muchas veces rompe los pocos momentos serios y tensos.
🔹🔸 2. DRAGON BALL Z: THE WORLD'S STRONGEST 🔸🔹
This is without a doubt the most inconsequential Dragon Ball movie I've ever seen. And I'm sure that none of the people who read this blog, know it or have seen it. It's bland, boring and the villain goes by without a hitch.
Esta es sin dudas la película más intrascendente que vi de Dragón Ball. Y estoy seguro de que ni uno de los que llegaron a leer este blog, la conocen o vieron. Es sosa, aburrida y el villano pasa sin pena ni gloria.
In a nutshell, this movie is about a Dr.Wheelo looking for the body of the strongest man in the world to occupy it. Since he lost his due to an accident and now he is a brain inside a robot. For this he kidnaps Roshi (thinking he is the strongest man) along with other characters. Goku rescues them and defeats the villain easily. End.
En resumen, esta película trata sobre que un tal Dr.Wheelo busca el cuerpo del hombre más fuerte del mundo para ocuparlo. Ya que perdió el suyo debido a un accidente y ahora es un cerebro dentro de un robot. Para esto secuestra a Roshi (pensando que es el hombre más fuerte) junto a otros personajes. Goku los rescata y derrota al villano fácilmente. Fin.
🔹🔸 1. DRAGON BALL Z: RESURRECTION 'F' 🔸🔹
This movie feels like it was made at a time when they were looking for the easiest way to make a quick buck. I get the feeling that this is the movie they put the least love into of the franchise.
Esta película se siente como si la hicieron en un momento donde buscaban la forma más fácil de hacer dinero rápido. Me da la sensación que esta es la película que menos amor le pusieron de la franquicia.
What bothered me the most is that at all times it seems that nothing is serious. There is never any danger, tension, nervousness or fear. Not even for a minute. It feels like it's just another training session for Goku and Vegeta. Add to that the poor soundtrack and mediocre battles. I don't know if I can say with certainty that it's the worst Dragon Ball movie because I didn't see all of them. But without a doubt, it's the one I liked the least of all the ones I saw.
Lo que más me molestó es que en todo momento parece que nada es en serio. Nunca hay peligro, tensión, nerviosismo o miedo. Ni siquiera por un minuto. Parece que es simplemente un entrenamiento más de Goku y Vegeta. Sumado a la pobre banda sonora y a las mediocres batallas. No sé si puedo decir con certeza que es la peor película de Dragón Ball porque no vi todas. Pero sin dudas, es la que menos me gustó de todas las que vi.
