There are anime that may not be destined to succeed from a media point of view or that in time will not be remembered by the common fandom. I'm not saying that this is the case with Dr. STONE, since the anime is still currently on the air, but I feel that the manga ended without any glory. Of course, not all anime are obliged to be super successful, since there are few that manage to stay in time and are considered cult, but there are others that fulfill a different function and that from their origin have a mission that is not necessarily aimed at the masses.
Such is the case of Dr. STONE, an anime with a type of plot and story that we have never seen (or so I think) and that perhaps only some may feel interest since it constantly touches on scientific topics that may bore most, but for those of us who are curious and who once felt attracted to that subject matter we may find it very interesting. When I was a kid I had an old encyclopedia of general geography and science from which I was able to learn a couple of things that obviously are not so deep, but that made me feel very interested in the scientific world.
Existen animes que quizá no están destinados a triunfar desde el punto de vista mediático o que con el tiempo no serán recordados por el fandom común. No digo que ese sea el caso de Dr. STONE ya que actualmente el anime sigue en emisión, pero siento que el manga terminó sin pena ni gloria. Claro está que no todos los anime están en la obligación de ser súper exitosos ya que son pocos los que logran mantenerse en el tiempo y que se consideran de culto, pero existen otros que cumplen una función diferente y que desde su origen tiene una misión que no necesariamente está dirigida a grandes masas.
Tal es el caso de Dr. STONE, un anime con un tipo de trama e historia que nunca hemos visto (o eso creo) y que quizá solo algunos pueden sentir interés ya que constantemente se tocan temas científicos que pueden aburrir a la mayoría, pero para quienes somos curiosos y que alguna vez nos sentimos atraídos por esa temática nos puede parecer muy interesante. Cuando era niño tenía una antigua enciclopedia de geografía general y ciencia de la cual pude aprender un par de cosas que obviamente no son tan profundas, pero que me hicieron sentir mucho interés por el mundo científico.
To give you a little more context about the anime Dr. STONE, it presents us with a world in which humans were turned into stone after a great green flash covered the entire earth. Thousands of years passed until the first human was able to get out of petrification and that is where the protagonist Senku comes in, although some time later we realize that he is not the only one who was able to free himself from that state and that there are other native humans living in primitive villages.
Senku, is a super intelligent young man who since childhood was very interested in science and was naturally good at it, he was enterprising and liked to invent things that although it is true that they did not always work out well, they were quite advanced. So, when he woke up from petrification he immediately realized what had happened and was even able to calculate the number of years he had been turned into stone, so he began to draw conclusions about what could have happened and set to work to try to awaken others.
Having spent thousands of years without human activity, the structures disappeared and nature was responsible for recovering all its territory, so the earth reverted to a kind of stone age in which there is no technology and in which everything was lost all kinds of progress or scientific knowledge, So those who woke up had to manage to live at the expense of nature and start everything from scratch, that's where Senku comes into action and becomes a very valuable element because of his intelligence, he could solve some basic things for survival, but not everyone had the ability to understand.
Para darles un poco más de contexto sobre el anime Dr. STONE, éste nos plantea un mundo en el que los humanos fueron convertidos en piedra luego de que un gran destello verde cubriera toda la tierra. Es así que pasaron miles de años hasta que el primer humano pudo salir de la petrificación y es allí donde entra el protagonista Senku, aunque tiempo después nos damos cuenta de que él no es el único que pudo liberarse de ese estado y de que hay otros que hay otros humanos nativos viviendo en aldeas primitivas.
Senku, es un joven súper inteligente que desde niño estuvo muy interesado en la ciencia y que naturalmente era bueno en eso, era emprendedor y le gustaba inventar cosas que si bien es cierto no siempre salían bien, eran bastante avanzadas. Entonces, éste al despertar de la petrificación inmediatamente se dio cuenta de lo que había pasado e incluso pudo calcular la cantidad de años en la estuvo convertido en piedra, por lo que empieza a sacar conclusiones sobre lo que pudo haber pasado y se pone manos a la obra para tratar de despertar a otros.
Al haber pasado miles de años sin actividad humana, las estructuras desaparecieron y la naturaleza se encargó de recuperar todo su territorio, es así que la tierra pasó a revertirse a una especie de edad de piedra en la no existe ningún tipo de tecnología y en la que todo se perdió todo tipo de avance o conocimiento científico, por lo que quienes despertaran debían arreglárselas para vivir a expensas de la naturaleza y empezar todo desde cero, es allí donde Senku entra en acción y se convierte en un elemento muy valioso ya que por su inteligencia, pudo resolver algunas cosas básicas para la supervivencia, pero que no todos tenían la capacidad de entender.
Evidently the bad guys do not take long to appear, there are also others who woke up and have some intelligence, but above all they are willing to use force to try to dominate the new world. This is how a war is generated between two sides in which on one side will use intelligence and on the other force. From here on I will not tell you more about it so as not to give you more spoilers, but I think you can already get an idea of what this anime and the adventures of Senku and company.
In the title of this post I say that Dr. STONE is a good anime for the heart not precisely because we see intense romances or because it leaves us with great reflections, but because it is one that teaches us things that go beyond the usual. For me in particular I find it gratifying to know how some things work that are explained in a quite didactic way so that we can all understand and assimilate, that certainly has to reach your heart because it is very valuable information that maybe you will never need to use, but it is interesting to know.
So, if you are looking for a different anime, that offers plots that are far from what we normally see, Dr. STONE is an excellent choice, it is fun, entertaining, funny, with charismatic characters, but most importantly, we learn in the process.
Evidentemente los malos no tardan en aparecer, también hay otros que despertaron y que tienen cierta inteligencia, pero que sobre todo están dispuestos a usar la fuerza para intentar dominar el nuevo mundo. Es así que se genera una guerra entre dos bandos en los que por un lado usarán la inteligencia y por el otro la fuerza. De aquí en adelante no te contaré más al respecto para no darte más spoilers, pero creo que ya pueden hacerse una idea de lo que nos plantea este anime y las aventuras de Senku y compañía.
En el título de este post digo que Dr. STONE es un buen anime para el corazón no precisamente porque veamos intensos romances o porque nos deje grandes reflexiones, sino porque es uno que nos enseña cosas que van más allá de las habituales. A mí en lo particular me parece gratificante saber cómo funcionan algunas cosas que son explicadas de manera bastante didáctica de manera tal que todos podamos entender y asimilar, eso sin duda tiene que llegar a tu corazón ya que es información muy valiosa que quizá no tendrás necesidad de usar nunca, pero que es interesante saber.
Entonces, si estas en la búsqueda de un anime diferente, que te ofrezca tramas que se alejen de que normalmente vemos, pues Dr. STONE es una excelente opción, es divertido, entretenido, gracioso, con personajes carismáticos, pero lo más importante es que aprendemos en el proceso.
