Plot
This second part begins shortly after the events of the first part of the season. We see a group of dangerous criminals being released to take out as many professional assassins as possible, including Sakamoto Taro. They begin their hunt, guided by the list of targets they received from Saw. Meanwhile, Sakamoto and his colleagues/employees decide to search for the assassins working for Slur. However, they are not the only ones, as some members of The Order are also on a mission to take down these criminals who are wreaking havoc in their territory while they search for Slur's hideout.

The first time I told you about Sakamoto Days, I think I made it very clear how much I enjoyed it, despite it being just another action-comedy anime with a somewhat unique style. While the anime didn't offer anything new in terms of story, I found its premise compelling and interesting enough to decide to watch it earlier this year. Now, after watching the second part aired last summer, I am convinced that it is a work with a lot of potential to offer. Although it is clear that it is not one of the best action anime in history, far from it.
This second part contains an excellent repertoire of action, humor, and unforgettable scenes. I think it managed to match or even surpass the first part of this season, which introduced us all to this anime gem. Not only because it manages to expand this world full of assassins and dangerous criminals a little, but also because we meet new characters who are difficult to forget in one way or another. Of course, I mentioned before that it doesn't have the best character development in history or a complicated plot full of drama, suspense, and all that stuff.

La primera vez que les hablé de Sakamoto Days creo que dejé bien en claro lo mucho que me entretuvo, a pesar de ser simplemente un anime de acción y comedia más con un estilo un tanto particular. Si bien el anime no ofrecía nada nuevo que contar, considero que su premisa fue lo suficientemente convincente e interesante para decidir verla a principios de este año. Actualmente, después de ver su segunda parte emitida en la pasada temporada de verano, estoy convencido de que es una obra con mucho potencial para ofrecer. Aunque está claro que no es como para considerarlo uno de los mejores animes de acción de la historia ni mucho menos.
Esta segunda parte contiene un excelente repertorio de acción, humor y escenas inolvidables. Pienso que cumplió con igualar o incluso superar la primera parte de esta temporada que hizo que todos conociéramos esta joya de anime. No sólo porque logra expandir un poco este mundo repleto de asesinos y criminales peligrosos, sino que también conocemos nuevos personajes que son difíciles de olvidar de alguna u otra manera. Claro, ya mencioné antes que no posee los mejores desarrollos de personajes de la historia ni una trama complicada repleta de drama, suspenso y esas cosas.

Something that caught my attention in this second part is how they introduced the new characters. Normally, anime takes its time to introduce new secondary characters who later become relevant to the story, but that's not the case with Sakamoto Days. What we see in this animated action-comedy series are new characters with characteristics, personalities, and abilities that make them special in one way or another. As expected, each character stands out in the fights, but there are a few individuals who manage to steal the show even after appearing and disappearing from the screen.

El anime es simplemente un viaje repleto de acción, chistes baratos y momentos divertidos y a la vez impactantes. Posiblemente muchos de los que llegaron a ver este anime esperando buscar algo más que lo que les acabo de decir terminaron completamente decepcionados. Pero lo que sí es seguro es que Sakamoto Days posee todo los elementos necesarios para que pases un buen rato entre risas y momentos emocionantes. No es de extrañar que esté entre la lista de favoritos del género de acción para muchos fanáticos. Su premisa y mezcla única de humor y peleas es lo que lo hace especial de alguna manera.
Algo que me llamó un tanto la atención de esta segunda parte es cómo introdujeron a los nuevos personajes. Normalmente los animes se toman su tiempo para introducir a nuevos personajes secundarios que luego llegan a ser relevantes en la historia, pero con Sakamoto Days no ocurre así. Lo que vemos en esta serie animada de acción y comedia es a personajes nuevos con características, personalidades y habilidades que los hacen especiales de algún modo u otro. Como es de esperarse, cada personaje llega a destacarse en las peleas, pero hay uno que otro individuo que consigue llevarse toda la atención aún después de aparecer y desaparecer de la pantalla.

Among all the characters we see in this second part of Sakamoto Days, the ones that caught my attention the most are some of the enemy team. They are the kind of characters who, from the moment they appear, make an impression with what they do or how they behave (especially one in particular who fights Sakamoto, who I think was given more time and development than the rest of the enemies). Although, on reflection, I would say that most of the characters we see in this anime are pretty much like that. I think this is something that, in part, is good because it grabs the viewer's attention, but on the other hand, it's a bit negative because it takes away a lot of screen time from the protagonist.
But then again, it's not like Sakamoto Taro does much besides beating his enemies unconscious. This brings me to another point that I didn't really like about this second part of the anime. I'm referring to the character development of the protagonist, or rather his screen time. Although there are many battles in which he shines, as always, we end up seeing the same result with nothing new to offer us about him. There is also the issue of the secondary characters, especially Taro's enemies, who don't really multiply until the end.

Entre todos los que vemos en esta segunda parte de Sakamoto Days, de los personajes que más llamaron mi atención están algunos que forman parte del equipo enemigo. Son de esos personajes que desde el primer minuto en el que aparecen ya causan más de una impresión por lo que hacen o cómo se comportan (sobre todo uno en particular que pelea contra Sakamoto al cual considero le dieron más tiempo y desarrollo que el resto de enemigos). Aunque si me pongo a pensar mejor diría que la mayoría de personajes que vemos en este anime son prácticamente así. Creo que esto es algo que, en parte es bueno ya que llama la atención del espectador, pero por otra parte es un tanto negativo ya que le quita mucho tiempo al protagonista en pantalla.
Pero bueno, tampoco es que haga mucho Sakamoto Taro aparte de moler a golpes a sus enemigos hasta dejarlos completamente inconscientes. Es aquí donde les menciono otro punto que tampoco me agradó mucho que digamos de esta segunda parte del anime. Me refiero al desarrollo de personaje que tiene el protagonista o más bien su tiempo en pantalla. Si bien hay muchas batallas de él en las que se luce, como siempre, terminamos viendo el mismo resultado sin nada nuevo que ofrecernos de él. También está el tema de los personajes secundarios, más en especial los enemigos de Taro los cuales no terminan de multiplicarse hasta el final.

What I did like was that we finally saw the main antagonist (or the one I still think is the main antagonist) in action, which is somewhat gratifying. But otherwise, the story just follows a path that leads our protagonist and his companions into one battle after another with new enemies appearing nonstop. As I said at the beginning, I like this because they manage to expand both the world of assassins and the story with a few new characters who open up a certain arc of Sakamoto's past. But it's not like it's the most remarkable thing of all, since in the end it's the fights and battles that grab everyone's attention.
As for what I just mentioned about "Sakamoto's past", it's a bit disturbing that we almost never see anything from that past when he was a legendary assassin in action. It's not until the end that we see a small glimpse of his past, and that's because of one of the new characters they added. Honestly, as I said before, I don't expect much from this action-comedy anime other than fights and that's it. Although I already mentioned that it has a good number of interesting characters, they don't get much screen time beyond one or two episodes, at most. So don't expect too much from this anime either.

Lo que sí me gustó fue que al fin vimos al antagonista principal (o el que hasta el día de hoy pienso que lo es) en acción, lo cual es un tanto gratificante. Pero de resto, la historia solo sigue un rumbo el cual lleva a nuestro protagonista y sus compañeros a una batalla tras otra con nuevos enemigos que aparecen sin parar. Como dije al principio, me gusta esto ya que logran expandir tanto el mundo de los asesinos como también la historia con uno que otro personaje nuevo que abre cierto arco del pasado de Sakamoto. Pero tampoco es como que sea lo más destacable de todo, ya que al final son las peleas, las batallas lo que se lleva la atención de todos.
En cuanto a lo que les acabo de mencionar sobre “el pasado de Sakamoto” es un tanto inquietante que casi nunca vemos nada de dicho pasado cuando era un asesino legendario en acción. No es sino al final que vemos una pequeña señal de su pasado y eso es por uno de los nuevos personajes que agregaron. Sinceramente y como ya les dije antes, no espero mucho de este anime de acción y comedia más que peleas y ya. Si bien ya les mencioné que tiene una buena cantidad de personajes interesantes, tampoco es que les den tanto tiempo en pantalla más allá de uno que otro capítulo, como mucho. Así que no esperes mucho de este anime tampoco.

I already told you in my previous review of Sakamoto Days what I think about the work done by TMS Entertainment with this adaptation, and I still feel the same way about this second part. I'm not like most viewers who watched this anime expecting to find a level of quality similar to other action and comedy works such as Spy x Family, for example. Despite the differences, I think this studio did a very good job of adapting the story using a style that is different from what we are used to seeing in other major studios such as CloverWorks and Madhouse.
The character design, the bright and vivid color palette, the visual and motion effects, the drawing style, and the details are most striking. I think what stands out most about this anime is the battles, as is evident. But there are also scenes where that quality is kept to a minimum. As for the sound effects, they continue to stand out, as does the animation in this second part. The soundtrack also does an excellent job. But what I liked the most was the opening, which is complete audiovisual madness. Anyway, if you haven't seen this anime yet and want to entertain yourself a little, then go watch it.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8.5/10 in terms of the action and comedy genre.

Por último, pero no menos importante, hablemos de su apartado audiovisual. Ya les he dicho en mi reseña anterior de Sakamoto Days lo que opino sobre el trabajo que realizó TMS Entertainment con esta adaptación y con esta segunda parte sigo opinando igual. No soy como la mayoría de espectadores que llegaron a ver este anime y esperaban encontrarse con un nivel de calidad similar a otras obras de acción y comedia como Spy x Family, por ejemplo. A pesar de las diferencias, yo opino que este estudio hizo una muy buena adaptación utilizando un estilo diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver en otros grandes estudios como CloverWorks y Madhouse.
El diseño de los personajes, la paleta de colores vivos y brillantes, los efectos visuales y de movimiento, el estilo de dibujo y los detalles son de lo más llamativo. Considero que en lo que más se destaca este anime es en las batallas, como es evidente. Pero también hay escenas en las que dicha calidad se mantiene al mínimo margen posible. En cuanto a los efectos de sonido sigue destacándose al igual que su animación en esta segunda parte. También la banda sonora hace un excelente trabajo. Pero lo que más me gustó fue su opening que es una completa locura audiovisual. En fin, si aún no has visto este anime y quieres entretenerte un poco entonces ve a verlo.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8.5/10 en lo que respecta al género de acción y comedia.
