The Villainess Tames the Beast is the kind of manhwa you read and find yourself surprised by the twists. The plot changes are flawless, yet also depraved. Everything stems from the typical isekai storyline.
As you probably know by now, I’m a bit obsessed with isekai manhwas. It may sound repetitive, but they have their own charm. Plus, this particular manhwa is josei. Women love this genre — well, I’m not a woman and I still ended up reading it. Maybe it's my appreciation for diverse literature.
The story portrays a twisted relationship between the protagonists. The female lead imprisons the man and turns him into her slave — a sexual slave. All of this is part of a novel. Unexpectedly, one of the fans of the story asks the author a question and later wakes up inside the novel as the villainess. Crazy, right?
This is the first hook in the story because it draws you in and builds intrigue. The protagonist has to change the future of the novel and prevent Magnus from turning into the beast that ends up killing her.
Ilyana breaks the narrative and alters it so much that she begins to regret her actions and fears what comes next. Magnus doesn’t hate her, doesn’t feel disgusted by her, nor does he display the depraved sexual obsession that existed in the original novel. Instead, Magnus shows something that genuinely unsettles the protagonist.
This is typical of slice-of-life and josei stories: men become dangerously obsessed with the women they love. It’s an intense, almost unhinged kind of passion. Yes, this is a yandere story. Magnus is a yandere. (I’m using the jargon here, haha.)
The art of the manhwa is solid — not the best ever — but it supports a well-constructed narrative. Especially during the part where Magnus is imprisoned and Ilyana tries to teach him how to live and behave like a human being. Her mission, clearly, is to turn him into someone normal, someone who wouldn’t shatter.
The villainess must tame the psychopath, but the man she thought would become a monster is, in reality, a gentle soul. That monster she tried to avoid ended up at the top of the power chain, and she will never be able to oppose him. The reason is simple: he lost his memory while she had him imprisoned. Noble blood runs through Magnus.
Currently, the manhwa has more than 90 episodes — a considerable but not overwhelming number. It’s just enough to enjoy the story’s compelling concept and entertaining plot.
The protagonist’s decision to change the course of events may seem selfish, but selfishness is part of life — a mix of survival instinct, kindness, and compassion — enough to provoke a shift in the male lead’s personality.
Everything falls apart with a kiss. That kiss reveals that Ilyana has gone too far and altered the destiny they were meant to follow. It’s at this moment that she separates from Magnus, and everything begins. That “everything” becomes a prison she can’t escape. The reason? The toxic, suffocating emotions between them.
Magnus will no longer be the slave — instead, he will chain the villainess and turn her into the prisoner.
Can either of them change?

La Obsesión que Encadena la Locura y Oscuridad
Si el destino es usarte, te usaré para cambiar el final. Ambos somos la cadena, somos el pecado y el morbo que nos devorara. Si el amor también significa ser toxico y depravado, no hay porque objetarlo.
The Villainess Tames the Beast es esa especie de manhwa que lees y te sorprende por los cambios. Los cambios de la historia son impecables, pero también depravados. Todo parte de la argumentación de la misma historia de categoría isekai.
Ya lo sabes, soy muy obsesivo por los manhwas isekai. Puede sonar reiterativo, pero tienen su propio encanto. Además, este manhwa es de tipo josei. A las mujeres les gusta mucho esta categoría; bueno, no soy mujer y terminé leyéndolo. Quizás todo viene por mi gusto por la literatura diversa.
La historia describe una relación depravada entre los protagonistas. La mujer encarcela al hombre y lo convierte en su esclavo: esclavo sexual. Todos estos hechos se relatan en una novela. Inesperadamente, una de las fans lee la historia y pregunta algo a la autora y, posteriormente, despierta en ese mundo de la novela como la mujer malvada o villana. Que loco, ¿verdad?
Este hecho es el primer gancho de la historia debido a que te envuelve y causa intriga. Me refiero por el hecho de que la protagonista debe cambiar el futuro de la historia y hacer que Magnus no se convierta en una bestia que la mate.
Ilyana rompió la historia y la alteró a un nivel del que ella se arrepiente y siente miedo. Magnus no la odia, no siente repulsión por ella y tampoco es ese deseo depravado o morboso sexual que podría haber ocurrido, similar a la historia original. Simplemente, Magnus muestra algo que causó preocupación a la protagonista.
Este es un aspecto típico de las historias de recuentos de la vida y josei: los hombres se vuelven locos por las mujeres que aman. Es una especie de sentimiento agresivo y loco que surge. Sí, esta historia es del tipo yandere. Magnus es un yandere. Estoy usando un modismo típico de este mundo, jajajaja.
El arte del manhwa es sólido, no es lo mejor del mundo, pero muestra una historia bien construida. Sobre todo, en la parte donde Mangnus está privado de la libertad e Ilyana le enseña a ser y actuar como un ser humano. La misión evidentemente era convertirlo en una persona normal, una que no se fuera a romper.
La villana debe domesticar al psicópata, pero esa persona que ella pensaba que se convertiría en un monstruo en realidad era un hombre sutil. Ese monstruo que ella deseaba evitar llegó a la cúspide del poder y ella nunca lo podrá objetar. La razón es simple, él perdió la memoria mientras que ella lo aprisionó. La sangre noble corre en Magnus.
El manhwa en la actualidad posee más de 90 episodios. Es una cantidad amplia, pero no tan larga. Es la suficiente cantidad de episodios para disfrutar la historia con un concepto agradable y una argumentación entretenida.
La decisión de la protagonista de cambiar los hechos puede verse egoísta, pero el egoísmo es parte de la vida y del instinto de supervivencia mezclados con la bondad y compasión suficientes para generar un cambio de personalidad del protagonista.
Todo se quiebra por un beso. Es beso muestra que Ilyana ha ido más allá de lo que debía y ha alterado demasiado el curso del destino que deben seguir. Es ahí donde se separa de Mangnus y comienza todo. Ese todo se convierte en una prisión de la que ella no podrá escapar. La razón son esos sentimientos tóxicos y aplastantes de ambos. Mangnus dejará de ser el esclavo para convertir a la villana en la prisionera encadenada. ¿Podrán cambiar alguno de los dos?
