Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post bastante genial el cual constará de una serie de posts en los que les hablaré de mis openings favoritos. Hace poco estaba escribiendo un post mientras escuchaba una lista de reproducción de openings que me gustan y pensé en hacer una lista de mis 10 favoritos, pero luego la lista creció a 15, luego a 20 y así, por lo que se me ocurrió hacer varios posts hablando de varios openings que amo o sino, jamás terminaré. Aunque no sea lo primordial, para mí es muy importante que un opening sea bueno ya que así nos podemos adentrar de manera más cómoda a una historia, por lo que hoy les hablaré sobre 5 de mis favoritos contándoles un poquito sobre las historias de los animes y como sus openings pueden ser relacionados. Comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come to you with a pretty cool post which will consist of a series of posts in which I will tell you about my favorite openings. Recently I was writing a post while listening to a playlist of openings that I like and I thought of making a list of my 10 favorites, but then the list grew to 15, then 20 and so on, so I thought of making several posts talking about various openings that I love or else I will never finish. Although it is not the most important thing, for me it is very important that an opening is good because that way we can enter more comfortably to a story, so today I will talk about 5 of my favorites telling you a little bit about the stories of the anime and how their openings can be related. Let's go!
Hikaru Nara - Goose House
(Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso)
Hace poco hice una reseña de este hermoso anime el cual me hizo llorar mares las dos veces que la vi. La historia de Kaori y Kousei conectándose gracias a la música es sumamente hermosa ya que la chica ayudó a que Kousei encontrara un sentido en su vida que ya era bastante triste. Este opening refleja muy bien de lo que trata el anime, que el amor le da color a nuestras vidas en el momento que menos esperas. Si les soy totalmente sincera, este opening me hace llorar cada vez que lo escucho no solo por recordarme la historia, sino que la melodía y la letra es tan hermosa que mueve todos mis sentimientos, sobre todo la frase que traducida dice "ya no escondas tu tristeza detrás de una sonrisa, porque cada una de estas estrellas brillará para ti".
I recently reviewed this beautiful anime which made me cry my eyes out both times I watched it. The story of Kaori and Kousei connecting thanks to the music is extremely beautiful as the girl helped Kousei find meaning in his life which was already quite sad. This opening reflects very well what the anime is about, that love gives color to our lives at the moment you least expect it. If I'm totally honest, this opening makes me cry every time I listen to it, not only because it reminds me of the story, but also because the melody and lyrics are so beautiful that it moves all my feelings, especially the phrase that says "don't hide your sadness behind a smile anymore, because each of these stars will shine for you".
Black Catcher - Vickeblanka
(Balck Clover)
Black Clover es un anime que me costó muchísimo querer por muchas razones, la historia comienza sumamente pesada y el protagonista personalmente no era santo de mi devoción, pero poco a poco me fue encantando esta historia llena de magia (literalmente). Algo que no se puede negar de Black Clover es que posee increíbles openings los cuales son imposibles saltar en su mayoría, el que más me encantó fue el décimo y quizás el más conocido, el cual conserva el estilo de algunos openings anteriores pero con su propia sustancia. La melodía es bastante buena y hará que quieras hasta hacer heabanging, además de tener una letra muy buena que habla sobre un viaje que está bañado de sangre, donde hay dolor, oscuridad y obstáculos pero que todo servirá para volverse más fuerte y ganar el juego por así decirlo. Es uno de mis favoritos definitivamente y no me canso de escucharlo.
Black Clover is an anime that cost me a lot to love for many reasons, the story begins extremely heavy and the protagonist personally was not my favorite, but little by little I was loving this story full of magic (literally). Something that can't be denied about Black Clover is that it has incredible openings which are mostly impossible to skip, the one I loved the most was the tenth and perhaps the best known, which retains the style of some previous openings but with its own substance. The melody is quite good and will make you want to even heabanging, plus it has some great lyrics that talk about a journey that is bathed in blood, where there is pain, darkness and obstacles but it will all serve to become stronger and win the game so to speak. It's definitely one of my favorites and I can't get enough of listening to it.
Inferno - Mrs. Green Apple
(Fire Force)
Les seré sincera, yo escuché este opening sin conocer el anime y la verdad, siento que la vida me trajo esta canción para ver este maravilloso anime ya que es muy bueno. La historia de Shinra que luego de una tragedia familiar formar parte el cuerpo de bomberos del escuadrón Fire Force 8 para así combatir a cual ser Infernal y a una secta extremista. El opening creo que es sumamente perfecto para describir lo intenso que es esta serie. Esta canción es bastante buena, potente y enérgica, con una letra bastante puntual que trata sobre como la luz puede transformarse en oscuridad, donde narra que si la luz que resplandece se quiere apagar se tiene el fuego de la vida que durará lo necesario hasta extinguirse. Realmente me encanta este opening y cada vez que lo escucho me dan ganas de bailar incluso jajaja.
I'll be honest, I listened to this opening without knowing the anime and the truth, I feel that life brought me this song to see this wonderful anime because it is very good. The story of Shinra who after a family tragedy becomes part of the Fire Force 8 squad to fight against an Infernal being and an extremist sect. The opening I think is extremely perfect to describe how intense this series is. This song is quite good, powerful and energetic, with a very punctual lyric about how light can turn into darkness, where it narrates that if the light that shines wants to be extinguished you have the fire of life that will last as long as necessary until it is extinguished. I really love this opening and every time I listen to it, it makes me want to dance even hahaha.
Shinzou wo Sasageyo - Linked Horizon
(Shingeki no Kyojin)
Shingeki no Kyojin es un anime muy conocido, que capaz hasta el que no ve anime sabe de lo que trata. La historia de como los titanes invaden y causan problemas a la humanidad es bastante intensa, ya que no solo habla de ello, sino de como estas tragedias dejan traumas increíblemente profundos en nuestros protagonistas, la corrupción de las monarquías, las traiciones, los secretos, las muertes y más importante en este caso: entregar los corazones para proteger lo que queremos y creemos. En base a esto existe lo que es para mí uno de los mejores openings que han existido, que de por sí este anime posee intros excelente pero este el cual es el tercero engloba lo que quiere transmitir Shingeki, querer que ese infierno termine, luchar sin cansarse, los sacrificios que hay que hacer para lograr los objetivos y además lo más importante, entregar los corazones para alcanzar todo eso. Una canción sumamente épica, que eriza la piel con solo escucharla de verdad es una obra de arte convertida en opening para un increíble anime.
Shingeki no Kyojin is a very well known anime that even those who don't watch anime know what it's about. The story of how the titans invade and cause problems to humanity is quite intense, as it not only talks about it, but how these tragedies leave incredibly deep traumas in our protagonists, the corruption of the monarchies, betrayals, secrets, deaths and most importantly in this case: giving our hearts to protect what we want and believe in. Based on this there is what is for me one of the best openings that have ever existed, which in itself this anime has excellent intros but this which is the third one encompasses what Shingeki wants to convey, wanting that hell to end, fight without tiring, the sacrifices that must be made to achieve the objectives and also the most important thing, give your hearts to achieve all that. An extremely epic song, that makes your skin crawl just by listening to it, it is truly a work of art turned into an opening for an incredible anime.
A Cruel Angel's Thesis - Yoko Takahashi
(Neon Genesis Evangelion)
He hablado mucho de Evangelion porque es uno de mis animes favoritos y además, este opening es mi favorito de todos sin duda, ya que desde que lo escuché por primera vez cuando tenía 15 años no me canso de escucharlo. La historia protagonizada por Shinji Ikari, un joven que vivía una vida relativamente normal en un mundo post-apocalíptico pero cuyo padre el cual ha estado ausente en su vida, lo convoca para pilotear uno de los robots gigantes llamados EVAs y enfrentarse a los ángeles, lo cual hace que Shinji nos muestre sus diferentes facetas para tomar el valor y pelear contra esos seres que ocasionan la destrucción. Este opening traza a la perfección de lo que trata el anime, ya que la letra narra como el chico en cuestión se va a convertir en una leyenda, entablando la tesis de un ángel cruel con el que se debe luchar y aferrarse a la luz del cielo. La canción comienza con un hermoso coral para luego convertirse en una melodía bastante animada que hace que cualquiera se mueva al ritmo de la música, me parece un opening muy bien logrado para la temática del anime, además de poseer en la animación uno que otro mensaje subliminal o codificado que a lo largo de la historia iremos entendiendo (o no jajaja). Definitivamente mi opening favorito!
I have talked a lot about Evangelion because it is one of my favorite anime and also, this opening is my favorite of all without a doubt, since I heard it for the first time when I was 15 years old I never get tired of listening to it. The story stars Shinji Ikari, a young man who lived a relatively normal life in a post-apocalyptic world but whose father, who has been absent in his life, summons him to pilot one of the giant robots called EVAs and confront the angels, which makes Shinji show us his different facets to take the courage to fight against those beings that cause destruction. This opening perfectly traces what the anime is about, since the lyrics narrate how the boy in question is going to become a legend, making the thesis of a cruel angel with whom he must fight and hold on to the light of heaven. The song begins with a beautiful chorus and then becomes a very lively melody that makes anyone move to the rhythm of the music, it seems to me a very well done opening for the theme of the anime, besides having in the animation one or another subliminal or coded message that throughout the story we will understand (or not hahaha). Definitely my favorite opening!
