Avatar The Last Airbender la versión producida por Nickelodeon siempre he pensado es un anime, recuerdo esos tiempos de la década de los 2000 cuando estrenaron este producto y en mi mente me decía que quería ver este anime, la razón de mi pensamiento es simple, su estilo de dibujo es de un anime, enorme es mi sorpresa cuando hay cierta controversia sobre este tema ya que es un producto americano.
Aplastante es la mayoría de personas que pensamos felizmente que este producto es un anime, nuestro corazón nos lo dice, lo vemos en su estética, en su arte, no importa el origen de quien lo dibujo porque se ve la clara inspiración en la forma de dibujo asiático.
Actualmente esta el hype al máximo por la versión live action de Netflix la cual por si no están enterados, ya se estreno el 22 de febrero de 2024, esa serie me ha hecho recordar aquellos tiempos en que veía la propaganda de este anime en Nickeldeon el cual sirve como base de la historia en esa serie que acaban de estrenar.
Avatar The Last Airbender the version produced by Nickelodeon I have always thought is an anime, I remember those times in the 2000's when they released this product and in my mind told me that I wanted to see this anime, the reason for my thought is simple, its drawing style is of an anime, huge is my surprise when there is some controversy on this issue since it is an American product.
Crushing is the majority of people who happily think that this product is an anime, our heart tells us so, we see it in its aesthetics, in its art, no matter the origin of who drew it because we see the clear inspiration in the Asian way of drawing.
Currently the hype is at its peak for the live action version of Netflix which in case you are not aware, already premiered on February 22, 2024, this series has made me remember those times when I saw the propaganda of this anime in Nickeldeon which serves as the basis of the story in the series that just premiered.
Con lo anterior en mente, vi por primera vez los primeros episodios de este producto recientemente y mis ojos lo que ven es el alma de un anime, estoy totalmente convencido de eso, por eso resalto mi sorpresa al empezar a estudiar mas este producto y conseguir que algunos no lo consideran así.
Este es un tema debate del cual quiero dejar mi opinión explicando las características de porque considero este producto un anime, lo haré de manera objetiva para darle solidez a mi argumento:
- Definición de Anime
Esto es lo que genera el punto de conflicto porque el hecho de que este concepto se base arcaicamente en que un anime depende del lugar de origen del artista excluye una cantidad de productos por una razón que carece de toda lógica, de toda racionalidad porque ignora totalmente aspectos que la misma forma de animación va definiendo con el pasar de los años.

- Evolución del Anime
Este es el punto mas solido que quiero nombrar porque las definiciones evolucionan y se adaptan a los tiempos y a las culturas de las personas que continuamente van adoptando elementos de otras culturas.
Esto siempre ha sucedido y sucede con la definición de anime, es algo que se debe aceptar y no se puede ser tan conservador y limitarlo al lugar de origen del artista porque precisamente el anime es el arte de los dibujos asiáticos inspirando el resto del mundo.
Por eso Avatar La leyenda de Aang es un ejemplo perfecto en donde se debe considerar la evolución del anime ya que es un empresa de poder como Nickelodeon la cual es Americana donde sus artistas se inspiran en esa forma o estilo de dibujo nipón, lo toman para si y nace este producto que es anime desde todo punto de vista que se vea.
- Evolution of Anime
This is the most solid point that I want to mention because the definitions evolve and adapt to the times and to the cultures of the people who are continuously adopting elements from other cultures.
This has always happened and still happens with the definition of anime, it is something that must be accepted and we cannot be so conservative and limit it to the place of origin of the artist because anime is precisely the art of Asian cartoons inspiring the rest of the world.
That is why Avatar The Legend of Aang is a perfect example where the evolution of anime should be considered, since it is a powerful company like Nickelodeon, which is American, where its artists are inspired by that form or style of Japanese drawing, they take it for themselves and this product is born, which is anime from every point of view.
- La Estética
Mi cerebro ve un anime por el arte de los dibujos que se presentan, solo miren las imágenes que resalto en el post, ese tipo de ojos, de sonrisas, la manera acentuada y cercana a como el dibujo representa a las personas, es muy real tal y como sucede con el anime.
Si algo caracteriza los dibujos americanos en su estilo nativo es el exagerar las formas hasta inclusive ridiculizarlas pero la influencia asiática realza la realidad de las formas, la belleza de las líneas haciendo que sean mas a como se ven las personas en la vida real, por eso me agrada tanto el anime y esa belleza de contornos para realzar los gestos y emociones de los personajes en Avatar es anime.
Una vez planteado todo lo anterior, la gran pregunta es si consideras Avatar The Last Airbender un anime.

- The Aesthetics
My brain sees an anime by the art of the drawings that are presented, just look at the images that I highlight in the post, that kind of eyes, smiles, the accentuated and close to how the drawing represents people, it is very real as it happens with anime.
If something characterizes the American drawings in their native style is to exaggerate the forms to the point of ridiculing them but the Asian influence enhances anime and the beauty of the lines making them more like people look in real life, that's why I like anime so much and that beauty of contours to enhance the gestures and emotions of the characters in Avatar is anime.
Having stated all of the above, the big question is if you consider Avatar The last Airbender an anime.
