We have seen stories where the main lead gets the chance to travel back in time to change the past for future betterment. But have you seen them moving in the future? But on what kind of purpose? Well, there's a manhwa where the female lead directly travels forward into her future. The name of the manhwa is "Miyeon," it's an intriguing story. Recently they have started to publish in webtoon and every chapter is worth it, let's begin!
Author & Artist: Seo nye
Genre: romance, time travel, amnesia, shoujo
Chapters: 13
Status: on-going
Year of release: 2025
The story follows "Miyeon" 19 years old who is a high school student in her final year, she has short black hair. She struggles to find anyone to click with because of her classmate Yun Lee.
He always tries to stick with her but his friends are so noisy that bothers her a lot but she doesn't talk about it because she doesn't know how to take the first step to talk with others.
She doesn't know how to make friends. One day a new transfer student came his name is Juho Kang, he was covered in bruises and bandages. Everyone was gossiping about his messed up look, then he decided to sit beside Miyeon. When Miyeon greeted her he sacred her with his smile.
In the class Miyeon started to think about ever getting in a college thinking about her future, because she wants to move out of her house and live as a independent girl. She thinks of the bad scenarios as she doesn't pay attention to studies and can't afford to pay the tuitions as well. She was really anxious about everything in her life as constantly worries about her life after graduation.
In a while she falls asleep on her desk, when she wakes up she finds a guy lying on the floor which shocked her as she never brought a guy home and she was confused. Then she found out it's the new transfer Guy and Miyeon didn't know what was going on even her hair grew long. She found a magazine where she sees her face on it, she realizes that she time travelled to the future where she's an aspiring actress. Not only that she also lives alone and independently...
There's always a reason for the time travel what might be the trigger point for this kind of time travel? To know about the further story you gotta read the manhwa as I am not going to spoil it.
To be honest I like it so far, there are currently 13 chapters, the manhwa is on-going and pretty new. I am sure the concept is very new to you guys because we are used to seeing time traveling in the past not into the future.
Like there's one kind of curiosity about why the female lead time travelled in the future? What could be the reason? When I first started reading it I was very curious about it and that's really intriguing. Still now I am waiting for their new chapters, it's very exciting.
An introvert shy 19-year-old girl wakes up in her future as a successful actress. Also has no memory of the past six years. The memory loss and sudden stardom makes the story mysterious. I feel the story progress a little slow. However, this will help with story build-up with suspense and character development.
If you enjoy reading emotional romance, quietness and amnesia-driven stories then this manhwa is perfect to read. But if you like fast-paced action, or comedic then this manhwa might feel right to you. Well, the emotional tone is amazingly crafted which keeps me interested.
In the beginning when I found Miyeon, I was completely hooked! The art is phenomenal and gives you the vibe of something powerful, and because of the amnesia part it keeps me eagerly waiting for the next chapter.
In my opinion I would love to see more faster plot progression and more interactions with the manager. I really wanna see who she ends up with. As there's a romance tag so I have high hopes from it. I feel the future chapters should dive deeper into the supporting characters. Which will make the story look more good.
Miyeon is a relatable character, like readers can feel the connection with her and go through her real emotions. Which we can't usually do with other stories. But Miyeon is on next level. Because you can truly feel her struggles, it's like watching a k-drama but in comic form. I am so glad I have found this master piece. I hope they won't disappoint us and wishing for the best outcomes.
Anyway, if anyone would ask me to rate this manhwa then I will give it 8 out of 10. I can't give better ratings because the manhwa is not completed and it's just the beginning of the story so, we have to wait and give it much more time to develop and complete.
