Plot
Ha-yoon became a fashion design major because her GPA was a good fit for it, when she arrived in her people started to gossip about her and demean her. She was trying to find a seat but they were repeatedly insulting for her fashion sense, at that time a handsome upperclassman arrived who's name is Jihoon, he is a famous influencer. He took her stand and found a place for her to sit. After a while a gorgeous girl came upto Ha-yoon who is incredibly popular and her name is Soo-ah, she has many followers on her social media.
On the other hand Ha-yoon has no friends except Soo-ah, she's the only person who is always being nice to Ha-yoon. Soo-ah hangs out with Ha-yoon a lot and helps her to choose fashionable clothes. Even though Ha-yoon is neglected by everyone Jihoon talks to her properly, spends time with her and even gave her a pair of earrings as a gift. This actions made Ha-yoon fall for Jihoon. But one day everything changed for her because of a single post online. Her friend Soo-ah and Jihoon updated a photo together where it says they are a couple now....
Will Ha-yoon be able to find her way in this world where everyone is fame building on social media?
Review
In my opinion I think the story is very intriguing, like it felt like a sort of betrayal her friend dating her first love like it's very complicated. Ha-yoon's personality is so really, she's acting like the way a real person would react.
I am glad the author and artist managed to portray it really good. The expressions are on point, I could feel the real emotions of Ha-yoon. She's broken hurt but can not say anything also she's unable to pretend as if nothing happened.
It was saddening to see her in pain, because it was her first love and she didn't even get the opportunity to confess. Also, she demeaned herself which shows how much confident she lacks. Also, in her surroundings everyone seems to hate her for no reason.
Soo-ah is friend of Ha-yoon but how come she never told anything about her relationship progressing with Jihoon. Because Ha-yoon used to share everything with Soo-ah, even when Jihoon bought earrings for Ha-yoon. So, I think Soo-ah is pretending to be a nice friend with her.
From whatever I have seen, I feel Soo-ah is trying to be nice to Ha-yoon because she likes Jihoon and he maybe likes the girls who are kind towards others. Even she talked with Ha-yoon when Jihoon supported her when everyone was treating her as an outcast.
I feel something is fishy about her, like there are many running behind Soo-ah so why did she pick a new student and not the others who are willing to be her friend badly, because she's famous.
Ha-yoon, doesn't use social media as a influencer and has no interest in who has followers and who doesn't. She only cares about the person and how they treat her.
She melts easily when someone is really good with her, same goes when she fell for Jihoon. I don't think he has done something special to make Ha-yoon fall in love but with small actions he has won her heart because she is really craving for some love and care.
I feel bad for Ha-yoon, because she did not deserve this kind of thing. Jihoon acting like a distant person after getting into the relationship, but at first he was acting like he considers about Ha-yoon.
But often he acted Infront of Soo-ah that Ha-yoon is a friend of Soo-ah and that's how he sees Ha-yoon. Which I feel is not a good behaviour towards Ha-yoon.
Anyway, I like the character of Ha-yoon, she represents the people who feels left out because they are not famous and people ignores these people. It happens in real life so I can't disagree. In this manhwa you will find yourself getting annoyed and also feeling happy sometimes. To be honest I don't like Jihoon at all.
I really wish Ha-yoon to find her true love and friend some genuine friends who actually cares about her. I also want to see her character growth because she doesn't have any confidence at all also easily gets influenced by others.
The art style is very unique, the drawing of the face and their expressions are great. I feel the colorings are more amazing, glazing hair makes the characters more noticeable. But sometimes it felt like the artist getting lazy and doing short cut arts. So, I will say the artstyle is something that attracted me the most other than the story. The story did not live upto expectations. The story got predictable and the characters don't have much depth. They don't explain much about the characters.
If you're okay with complicated relationships and dramas then this manhwa will be likeable to you. The manhwa is completed and I am not sure if there will be another season for it. It's not that much popular but I hope after reading my review many people will be interested to read it. So, if you have nothing to do at all you can read it to pass time.
