I'm finally done with my exams and I had time to catch up with my animeπ₯Ί
Although I had been watching the new releases, I haven't had time to really write a review on them so now I do and now they'll be posted.
Although today I'm not here to talk about anime but rather a mangaβ¨

Although it does have a televised season released the main story and fun is in the manga.
For those who may not know anything about GOH, let's talk a bit about it
π π π π £
The main protagonist is Mori Jin, a 17-year-old martial artist from Seoul, South Korea.[4] At the beginning of the story, he is invited to join a Martial Arts tournament called "The God of High School" (or GOH). The event, sponsored by a shady corporation, brings together people from high schools all over South Korea on a regional and then, national level in order to select three representatives for the World Tournament. As a prize, the winner gets his wish fulfilled by the hosting corporation, no question asked. ~Source
Now I'm here to give a review of this beast of a series. Even though no word has been said about the 2nd season of the anime, the 1st season was a thunderstorm, getting 2 fight scenes nominated for the Crunchyroll awards for best fight scene.
The manga is even better, having finished last year December, it's really something that moved me, almost felt like Naruto all over again and I'll forever miss itπ₯Ίβ€οΈ.

God of Highschool manhwa is actually of Korean origin, and it was one of the first manhwa I started reading with Tales Of Demon and Gods, so it was the first time I saw such a drawing style that appealed to me rather than the serious looking drawing of Japanese conventional manga.
Although I guess this may just be my personal preference, it's still a reason why I like the show so muchπ
The fight scenes are also great, with detailed drawings, in other words, just reading it is a delight.

The story is indeed a very long and diverse one, overall it's good but one thing I think excelled the most was the fact that there were hardly no loose threads.
When working on a long project like this it seems easy to simply forget on a part or a characters side story, causing a break in the real story. Thankfully I noticed no such thing and for that I commend the author Park Yong Je. A really seamless story that I'll missπͺβ€οΈ

As mentioned before, this manhwa has some pretty great fights. Fights using borrowed power from gods and mixed with martial arts.
One thing I enjoyed very much was the use of realistic martial arts.
I don't know why but it was just seemingly appealing to me, reading a taekwondo π₯ move reinforced with the strength of Hercules π.

Overall it's one of the best manhwa I've read and it's one that would indeed stay in my memories.
From the action, to the storyline, to the brief comedic section, it's a manhwa you can really get involved with.
I give it a rating of 8/10 stars π€©
