¡Hola a todos! Me pareció interesante el Blogging sobre anime así que decidí unirme. Para ser sincera, me costó un poco acordarme de cual había sido el primer anime que había visto, tengo muy poca memoria sobre temas sobre mi infancia 😅. Al principio estaba cuestionándome si se trataba de Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon o cualquiera de aquellos que estuvieron transmitiendo en las televisoras nacionales durante esos años. Pero luego recordé que había visto mucho antes una película que estaba segura, era de origen Nipona y de ella es que vengo a hablarles específicamente.
Hi all! I found blogging about anime interesting so I decided to join. To be honest, it took me a bit to remember what the first anime I had ever seen was, I have very little memory about my childhood 😅. At first I was wondering if it was Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon or any of those that were broadcasting on national television during those years. But then I remembered that I had seen a movie long before that I was sure, it was of Japanese origin and it is about her that I come to speak to you specifically.
Gurikku no Bōken - The Enchanted Journey
Cuando era pequeña solíamos alquilar películas de VHS, recuerdo que nuestros padres se molestaban un poco porque siempre alquilábamos las mismas, aún así, nos daban completa libertad de escoger una película a cada uno (somos 3 hermanos). Aquella fue una época dorada para la animación, al menos para mí y mis hermanos, de hecho, estos años hemos hecho hasta lo imposible por encontrar y volver a ver esas increíbles obras que nos abrieron los ojos al maravilloso mundo de la animación. No tenía ni idea de cómo se llamaba la película, pero luego de investigar en foros encontré que se llama "El viaje encantado". Recuerdo que era de una de nuestras vecinas. Así que le prestábamos alguna de las nuestras (teníamos una buena colección) y ella nos prestaba esa, que nos fascinaba. La poníamos en todo momento y es que los personajes de las ardillas son bastante adorables, lo cual, siendo niños, llamaba mucho nuestra atención.
When I was little we used to rent VHS movies, I remember that our parents were a bit annoyed because we always rented the same ones, even so, they gave us complete freedom to choose a movie for each one (we are 3 brothers). That was a golden age for animation, at least for me and my brothers, in fact, these years we have done our best to find and see again those incredible works that opened our eyes to the wonderful world of animation. I had no idea what the movie was called, but after researching on forums I found that it is called "The Enchanted Journey". I remember it was from one of our neighbors. So we lent her one of ours (we had a good collection) and she lent us that one, which fascinated us. We put it at all times and the squirrel characters are quite adorable, which, being children, caught our attention.
Otra de las cosas que nos llamaba muchísimo la atención de ésta película era su banda sonora, tiene unas canciones muy buenas, de hecho, a pesar de los años recordaba a la perfección cada una de las tonadas. El soundtrack es muy acertado y hace que todo momento la trama vaya a un ritmo agradable al oído.
Another thing that caught our attention in this film was its soundtrack, it has some very good songs, in fact, despite the years, I remembered each of the tunes perfectly. The soundtrack is very successful and makes the plot go at a pleasant rhythm to the ear at all times.
La trama (Alerta de Spoiler) / The Plot (Spoiler Alert)
Trata sobre dos ardillas que son hermanos, Glikko y su hermana Fluff, que viven en un departamento. Un día Glikko escucha a Pippo, una paloma, hablarle sobre cómo las ardillas como él viven su vida de libertad en el bosque. Escuchar eso lo anima a iniciar su partida hacía el bosque, sólo que su hermana no tiene la misma mentalidad que él. Aún así, Fluff ayuda a su hermano a escapar del apartamento, porque lo quiere y sabe que lo mejor para él es que se sienta a gusto con su entorno, Glikko insiste en que su hermana lo acompañe, contándole las maravillas que Pippo le dijo sobre el bosque, sobre todo como las demás ardillas son libres. Pero ella insiste en quedarse. Glikko se sube a un sombrero que hay en el tejado y se lanza sobre él, planeando y alejándose de su hermana, a la que le prometió que le mandaría un mensaje en cuanto llegara al bosque. La escena de despedida entre los dos hermanos que prácticamente crecieron juntos en el departamento, es una de las más conmovedoras.
It is about two squirrels who are brothers, Glikko and her sister Fluff, who live in an apartment. One day Glikko overhears Pippo, a pigeon, talk to him about how squirrels like him live their life of freedom in the forest. Hearing that encourages him to start his departure for the forest, only that his sister does not have the same mentality as him. Still, Fluff helps his brother escape from the apartment, because he loves him and knows that the best thing for him is that he feels comfortable with his surroundings, Glikko insists that his sister accompany him, telling him the wonders that Pippo told him about the forest, especially as the other squirrels are free. But she insists on staying. Glikko climbs on a hat on the roof and throws herself at it, gliding away from her sister, to whom she promised to send a message as soon as she reached the forest. The parting scene between the two brothers who practically grew up together in the apartment is one of the most moving.
Glikko lleva a los callejones de la ciudad, en donde se da cuenta de que las cosas en el exterior son mucho más difíciles que en su antiguo departamento. Es entonces cuando ayuda a Gamba, una rata que estaba punto de de ser atropellada. Gamba lo trata como su amigo y le comenta que está por enfrentarse a un grupo de ratas que son sus enemigas. Glikko no entiendo porque las ratas deben enfrentarse entre sí, si son de la misma especie, a lo que Gamba le responde que la única manera de obtener la paz es a través de la guerra. Un mensaje un poco turbio. Se enfrentan a las ratas en una batalla terrible si te pones a pensar que pobre animales estan lastimándose entre ellos. Gamba y sus amigos salen victoriosos y celebran esa noche a lo grande. Gracias a la ayuda de Glikko, Gamba siente que todo eso fue posible, así que le muestra el camino que lo llevará hacía el bosque del norte, es aquí donde le da una de las reflexiones de la película, cuando Glikko lo invita a irse con él a ser libre en el bosque y él se niega, porque le gusta ser una rata de ciudad: "A veces pensamos que la felicidad está en donde debemos ir, sin darnos cuenta de que la felicidad estuvo en el recorrido que hicimos para llegar allí". Gamba es sin duda de los mejores personajes.
Glikko leads to the alleys of the city, where he realizes that things outside are much more difficult than in his old apartment. That's when he helps Gamba, a rat that was about to be run over. Gamba treats him as his friend and tells him that he is about to face a group of rats that are his enemies. Glikko does not understand why rats must face each other, if they are of the same species, to which Gamba replies that the only way to obtain peace is through war. A slightly murky message. They face the rats in a terrible battle if you think that poor animals are hurting each other. Gamba and his friends are victorious and celebrate that night in style. Thanks to Glikko's help, Gamba feels that all this was possible, so he shows him the path that will take him to the northern forest, it is here that he gives him one of the reflections of the film, when Glikko invites him to go with him to be free in the forest and he refuses, because he likes to be a city rat: "Sometimes we think that happiness is where we should go, without realizing that happiness was in the journey we made to get there". Gamba is undoubtedly one of the best characters.
Es así como Glikko llega hasta un zoológico, más específicamente en la zona en donde tienen a las ardillas. Todas ellas viven cómodamente, sus necesidades están cubiertas y tienen arboles para trepar. Aún así Glikko mira más allá de la valla, él quiere trepar más árboles de los que hay allí y quiere comer comida fresca del bosque. Es ahí donde le cuenta a las demás ardillas sobre su viaje hacia el maravilloso bosque del Norte. Una de las ardillas del zoológico, es Nono, una ardilla tímida que lo mira desde lejos y lo escucha hablar sobre su visión de libertad. Luego de aprender cómo caer adecuadamente luego de saltar y pasar un rato agradable con las ardillas, Glikko decide que es tiempo de volver a emprender su viaje.
This is how Glikko comes to a zoo, more specifically in the area where they have squirrels. All of them live comfortably, their needs are covered and they have trees to climb. Still Glikko looks beyond the fence, he wants to climb more trees than there are there and he wants to eat fresh food from the forest. It is there that he tells the other squirrels about his journey to the wonderful northern forest. One of the squirrels at the zoo is Nono, a shy squirrel who looks at him from afar and listens to him talk about his vision of freedom. After learning how to properly fall after jumping and having some fun with the squirrels, Glikko decides it's time to get back on her journey.
Mientras que Glikko está comiendo en una huerta, siente que está siendo observado. No es otra más que Nono, quién lo ha seguido para irse con el al bosque del Norte. Esto no es del agrado de Glikko, luego de todo lo que ha pasado se ha dado cuenta de que es un viaje muy peligroso y no quiere que Nono corra peligro. Pero a pesar de la insistencia de Glikko de hacerla volver al zoológico, la determinación de Nono por irse con él al bosque, es más fuerte, pues resulta que su madre era también del bosque y quiere volver a él por su memoria.
While Glikko is eating in a vegetable garden, he feels that he is being watched. It is none other than Nono, who has followed him to go with him to the northern forest. This is not to Glikko's liking, after everything that has happened she has realized that it is a very dangerous trip and she does not want Nono to be in danger. But despite Glikko's insistence to make her return to the zoo, Nono's determination to go with him to the forest is stronger, since it turns out that his mother was also from the forest and wants to return to him because of her memory.
Mejor no les sigo contando, es mejor que lo vean por ustedes mismos. Es una hermosa película, con un dibujo agradable, una banda sonora increíble (que no pude sacar de mi mente a pesar de los años), llena de drama, aventura, suspenso, peligro y uno que otro momento que hará que una lagrimita salga de tus ojos.
I better not keep telling you, it is better that you see it for yourself. It is a beautiful film, with a nice drawing, an incredible soundtrack (that I could not get out of my mind despite the years), full of drama, adventure, suspense, danger and the occasional moment that will make a tear come out of your eyes.
