Several months ago, I made a review of a manga and a webtoon that shares the same title... and that is Wind Breaker. Then during spring, the anime version of the manga was released. As usual, I didn't watch it soon. I tend to binge-watch anime once they're completed.

In the first season of Wind Breaker, the main character Sakura decided to enter Furin High School. This school is particularly known as a school of deliquents. Students there only know how to fight and our MC aims to be on top.
However, once he arrived, he realized the school wasn't as he expected. Yes, the students indeed excel at brawling, but they do so in order to protect their town and all the people in the area. Instead of being the headache of society, they're regarded as heroes.
Sakura didn't want to be a hero, though. He just wants to fight his way to the top. Well, would he still think the same as he further immerse himself with the group? (We need more seasons to answer that... haha)

The first season somehow focused on Furin's interaction with Shishitoren (a delinquent gang). I really like this part of the manga, so seeing this animated made me excited. The fight scenes were so amusing and dramatic to watch. I'm a fan of Togame, so it made me extra happy. (I do have a lot of characters I love from this series, though).

Another thing I enjoyed when I read the manga was the facial expressions made by the characters ... and they really gave them life in the animated version. Sakura's blushing face, Nirei's idiotic face and Suo's conniving smile. (UGH!!!!)

I had high expectations of this anime especially because I really love the manga... and they didn't fail me.
Well, there's just one thing I dislike about this anime, though... Season one is too short... and they ended with a cliff-effin-hanger!!! Well, not that I don't know what happens next, but still... They're building the tension too much... (and I love it! hahaha)
It's refreshing to see action or shounen anime without the magical or supernatural aspect. Can't wait for the second season next year!!!
Also, the manga is still ongoing, but things are heating up more and more...
OK~ I think this has become a rant-slash-fangirl post rather than a proper review. Sorry about that...
I hope you give it a shot! See you around! (^^,)/
