Isekai and regression manga and manhuas are on spree nowadays and most of the time if you open your browser to read some of those immediately you will see new series under the same troupe.
But then again, it works to the majority of readers, hence mass production is still ongoing.
For today's manhua recomendation I am introducing a series that I am hooked to because of the outstanding world building that happens within the story.
The story was written by wirae (위래). The light novel has been translated into English and being distributed by Wuxiaworld officially, but you can get it on your usual LN site. I haven't read the LN version of it, but maybe in the future if the series dropped for some reason.
Here's a short synopsis from Asura Scans:
Everyone was summoned to a hallway and a man in a brown robe introduced himself as Aladdin. He said that Nebula was also chosen to participate in a game to which he is familiar with and now they will act as true gods.
Though they are summoned forcefully, Aladdin gave an information that whoever wants to return can return to their own life but their memories of the place will be erased. Also he clarified that if incase that they joined, and wants to quit midway, they cannot do it anymore.
As the game mechanics were explained, there can be only one true god for this world and the others will be perished. Once they die as a god on the said world they will experience the same demise in real life as well.
With the gaming knowledge that he had, he picked a place to where he will be increasing his influence. Little by little he was acknowledged by his believers as The Blue Beetle god as he manifests his powers with insects such as beetles and butterflies.
If you are familiar with Academy's Genius Swordmaster, you will know immediately that their artwork is the same as the same studio's the one who created the webtoon. Bluepic you may not know or notice but aside from Academy's Genius Swordmaster, they are also the ones who created the webtoons for The Constellation that Returned From Abyss, FFF Thrash Hero and Advanced Player of Tutorial Tower
What I like most on this series is it gives you a feeling that you are playing a strategic game. If you are quite familiar with Age of Mythology, somehow I get that vibe. After being assigned to the insect region, he searched the place to determine which race will be his first believers, upon considering many factors he picked a small pack of old, sickly and wounded lizards as his patron.
Same as when you are playing video games, you watch the AI's do their thing sometimes the MC intervene but not using such grand acts rather he just manifest in dreams and signs.
Also, the part that as a reader, you see the growth of the civilization slowly. The lizards were nomads at first looking for food. Then they learned husbandry and tend their own cattle for meat and milk supply. They also learned language afterward and other interesting stuff. You see how things develop by just simple inspiration.
Currently the series is sitting at 42 Chapters with three arcs already. As a >! [Hidden Spoiler Text] This is the spoiler content.
The MCs lizard clan already evolved and working with humans in a city. Here they learned the power of waterwheel and how they can increase more energy. Aside from the barter economy, they also use weighing scale to determine the value of the goods with the iron that is being exchanged. Safe to say that in the coming chapters, currency will be created to counter the upcoming series. Right now, Nebula will be fighting with the elves race. The god that is protecting the race is somehow pushover as he takes the role of a race as it is.
