Hello everyone, I am
and this is my first time posting in the anime realm community. I hope I do it right as I do intend on enjoying my experience with everybody. So for my first post I want to discuss briefly about the origin of hero Deku.
In a world where 80% of the human population are endowed with special abilities known as quirks, people are definitely going to use these abilities for their personal agenda.
This very selfishness led to a not so shocking increase in crime and thus a new line of work was born- The job of being a hero. These heroes are tasked with stopping these super powered criminals and keeping society safe.
The superhero duty is a full fledged job with a ranking system where All Might is the number hero but the story does not revolve around him. The main character is a young boy named Izuku Midoriya, a high school student with no superpower but aspires to become a hero just like his Idol All might. The lack of a quirk however subjects him to bullying and mediocracy but all of that soon changes when he gets into a personal interaction with All might after he takes down a villain disturbing public safety. It turns out that All might was not the perfect hero he used to be because after a battle with a big bad known as all for one, he was left with a hole in his stomach and can only keep his hero form for a limited time frame and needs to pass down his abilities to someone else to keep the lineage going.
The villain escapes captivity by some means and holds young Bakugo hostage threatening to drown him if he comes any closer. By some sort of subconscious trigger, Midoriya leaps in to save the hostage despite having no powers creating the necessary distraction for All might to swoop in and save the day.
Moved by his genuine act of bravery, All might choose Izuku as his success promising to train to become the only thing he dreams about becoming a hero.
All Might further explains that before he will pass down his powers down to Izuku through any of his biological material, he has to train his body to be able to withstand such incredible power and for his training, our young hero has to clear out every junk, dirt and rubbish dumped at the beach. Izuku makes up his mind to train his body working out both at home, school and on the beach.
He stays consistent for weeks and on the final day of his training after displaying obvious signs of growth, All Might transfers the powers of One For All to him through his hair which he has to swallow.
With no time to test his new powers after receiving them, Izuku rushes down to the hero entrance exam as it was taking place that very day. He joins other aspirants for the exam which revolves around smashing as much robot as possible to get in the hero's program. Luck is not on our protagonist's side is other participants are destroying robots left and right to secure a space in the academy. But when all hope seems lost, a young girl who was nice to our hero is trapped under rubble and is about getting squashed by a massive robot. Without even thinking about his safety, Izuku dashes in to save her , completely turns the robot to rubble and breaks every bond on his legs and arms.
Impressed by his act of bravery, our boy Izuku gets a letter from the most prestigious hero school in Japan UA HIGH offering him a place to come train as a hero and this is how his true story of battling the symbol of evil official begins
The anime is filled with a lot of enjoyable moments, fight scenes and it is actually one of those animes where the main character is also my favorite. It is also important to note that despite Izuku being a cry baby,
he still feels very relatable as a character. I don't enjoy watching characters go from weakest to strongest without necessary flaws or depth as it tends to limit my expectations.
I hope you all enjoy the anime, it is indeed quite a ride.
