Yo muy bien y feliz, con ganas de contarles sobre una película que me dejó impactada, pegada a mi asiento y en cierto modo bastante confundida con ciertos momentos extraños. Hablo de nada más y nada menos que de Aragne: Sign of Vermillion, una película de 2018 muy peculiar. Me atrevería a decir que es una película que mezcla diferentes tipos de grabación y producción en un solo film, lo cual lo hace mejor y peor en ciertos aspectos. Sin más, quiero darles contexto de esta película y hablarles de qué me pareció y qué opiné de esta producción tan única.
How are you today? Me very well and happy, eager to tell you about a movie that left me shocked, glued to my seat and in a way quite confused with certain strange moments. I'm talking about none other than Aragne: Sign of Vermillion, a very peculiar 2018 film. I would go so far as to say that it is a film that mixes different types of filming and production in one film, which makes it both better and worse in certain aspects. Without further ado, I want to give you context on this film and talk to you about what I thought of it and what I thought of this very unique production.

Our protagonist is partially accompanied by certain people who can help her and give her information about all these deaths that happen, how they are all related by a twisted neck, and what specific moments in history led to humanity to be like this.
"Aragne: Sign of Vermillion" es un thriller psicológico Que combina elementos de terror puro con una fantasia absoluta, esto podemos notarlo con las historias y momentos tan confusos que llevan el nivel de terror mucho más arriba. Otro elemento importante de esta pelicula es su estilo de dibujo y sus planos de grabación, lo que facilmente pueden llevarte a sentirte en esa atmosfera de suspenso y terror puro con las escenas tan crudas y paranormales.
"Aragne: Sign of Vermillion" is a psychological thriller that combines elements of pure horror with absolute fantasy, this we can notice with the confusing stories and moments that take the level of terror much higher. Another important element of this movie is its drawing style and shooting shots, which can easily lead you to feel the atmosphere of suspense and pure terror with the raw and paranormal scenes.

Antes de comenzar, quiero decir que aquí sí diré muchos más espóiler que en el resumen, por eso si quieren ver la película, que lo recomiendo totalmente, traten de no leer esta parte, si quieren sorprenderse tanto como yo lo hice, ya que de verdad vale totalmente la pena.
Before I start, I want to say that here I will say many more spoilers than in the summary, so if you want to see the movie, which I totally recommend, try not to read this part, if you want to be as surprised as I was, because it really is totally worth it.
Sinceramente, me sorprendió mucho más de lo que pensaba, y me dejó con dudas y confusiones sobre ciertas situaciones más que respuestas. La película cumple totalmente su trabajo de combinar el terror, el suspenso y todo el mundo paranormal, con la fantástica, la sátira y algunos hechos históricos con ciertas modificaciones, cosa que me encantó.
Honestly, it surprised me much more than I thought it would, and left me with doubts and confusion about certain situations rather than answers. The movie totally does its job of combining horror, suspense and the whole paranormal world, with fantasy, satire and some historical facts with certain modifications, which I loved.
Así como me encantaron muchos aspectos, hubo algunos otros de la película que, la verdad, no opino que estén mal, pero personalmente no fueron mis favoritos, como por ejemplo el dibujo de los personajes. En ciertas escenas sentía que trabajaron 4 artistas por separado con diferentes estilos, y solo juntaron todos los trabajos un minuto antes de entregar el capítulo. De un segundo a otro podemos ver cambios en el estilo de dibujo, en el estilo de enfoque sobre el personaje, de 2D a 3D, sin ningún tipo de explicación, lo que a veces podía llegar a cortar un poco y sacarte de la concentración sobre la escena
As much as I loved many aspects, there were some other aspects of the movie that, truth be told, I don't think are bad, but personally they were not my favorite, like for example the drawing of the characters. In certain scenes I felt that 4 artists worked separately with different styles, and they only put all the work together a minute before delivering the chapter. From one second to another we can see changes in the style of drawing, in the style of focus on the character, from 2D to 3D, without any kind of explanation, which sometimes could cut a little and take you out of the concentration on the scene.
siguiendo con el tema de los personajes, sentía que en un momento estaban super bien dibujado y animados, y al otro ya estaban planos y con movimientos 0 limpios y prolijos, esto es algo que me sacaba de contexto y me confundía demasiado, dejándome fuera de la película, desconcertándome del objetivo o la situación por la que pasaban los personajes en ese momento. Igualmente, entiendo que está bien jugar con esos aspectos, ya que si todas las películas de anime fueran con el mismo dibujo y el mismo tipo de grabación, fuera bastante aburrido y repetitivo, a veces los cambios pueden ser buenos.
Following the theme of the characters, I felt that one moment they were super well drawn and animated, and the next they were already flat and with 0 clean and neat movements, this is something that took me out of context and confused me too much, leaving me out of the film, disconcerting me from the objective or the situation that the characters were going through at that moment. Still, I understand that it's okay to play with those aspects, because if all anime movies were with the same drawing and the same kind of footage, it would be quite boring and repetitive, sometimes changes can be good.
Entonces, el tipo de grabación y enfoque me confundió pero también me hacía crear cierta atmósfera de sucesos extraños y sin explicación, y lo que lograba confundirte a veces también lograba impactarte. Algo que me encantó sin duda alguna es que al final nos dan contexto de dónde vienen todos estos demonios, almas extrañas y sucesos paranormales. En la Segunda Guerra Mundial buscaron crear humanos sin alma, listos para la guerra, y solo logró conseguir monstruos sin almas a los cuales se les retorcía la cabeza, dando esta apariencia y poderes de un demonio. Yo soy muy fan de todos los temas de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, amo la historia y me parece super interesante estos momentos de la historia, y me encantó que incluyeran parte de esta historia, combinada un poco con fantasía para darle más poder y pertenencia a la película
So, the type of recording and approach confused me but also made me create a certain atmosphere of strange and unexplained events, and what managed to confuse you at times also managed to shock you. Something I loved without a doubt is that at the end we are given context as to where all these demons, strange souls and paranormal happenings come from. In World War II they sought to create soulless humans, ready for war, and only managed to get soulless monsters whose heads were twisted, giving this appearance and powers of a demon. I am a big fan of all WWII themes, I love history and find these moments in history super interesting, and I loved that they included some of this history, combined a bit with fantasy to give the movie more power and ownership.
Personalmente, la película me pareció bastante buena e interesante. Luego de terminarla pude ver que tenía una segunda película, y ya estoy buscando el siguiente tiempo libre que tenga para verla. De verdad vale totalmente la pena. Yo a esta película le voy a dar un 8/10, ya que hubo ciertas cosas que no me gustaron, pero hubo otras típicas de mis películas de terror favoritas, las cuales estuvieron muy bien ejecutadas y super bién dibujadas.
Personally, I found the movie quite good and interesting. After finishing it I could see that it had a second movie, and I'm already looking for the next free time I have to watch it. It really is totally worth it. I'm going to give this movie an 8/10, as there were certain things I didn't like, but there were others typical of my favorite horror movies, which were very well executed and super well drawn.
