This is a story of a female lead who was working the regular shift in a supermarket. The cup of instant noodles fell and when she tried to pick it up, she felt dizziness. Suddenly, she saw two blonde coloured hair twin boys.
The boys were looking hungry she offered them her noodles but they hesitated at first but then she convinced them by eating the noodles. One of the twin says her name "Ailene" and then she realized she's in the body of a nanny which is a character in a fantasy novel.
In the novel the character of nanny dies in the hands of these two little twin princes and that happens in the beginning of the novel. The character of Ailene was pure evil she used to torture the twins alongside other maids. But now our female protagonist has entered her body who is completely opposite of how Ailene was. She vows to raise these boys so they don't get stray and avoid their dark storyline.
Ailene began to become their perfect nanny which made both twins shocked. Because in the past she always treated them like they were trash. Even though Ailene wants to go back to her real world she still can't bear to have the thoought of leaving these kids alone because there's no one to raise them. Ailene fixed herself into the role and things seem to be looking up until the empire’s “mad dog” Duke Kasar appeared in their life.
Duke Kasar is the elder brother of the twins. He almost decided to eliminate her but her cooking skills saved her. The modern dishes from her world has made the Duke feel heaven. He quickly gained interest in her and he asked her to pretend to be his lover. Even though 1 month has passed the main female lead of the novel still hasn't arrvied, will everything go smoothly for Ailene and stay alive in this fantasy novel?
I've always read the story which has a villainess, Ailene is kinda a villainess type of character but not that major but also required in the novel for the story to begin. Ailene's past character would be hated by me if it stayed the same, because I relly do not like selfish, mean characters they annoys me a lot.
To be honest the nanny plot is new to me, I just got more and more curious as I drove into the depth of the story. It's a sweet one not that much of scheming. I would have liked it more if there were some flaws of our female lead because she seems too perfect.
Also, her character is not that much described. It seemed like she's a robot who is doing what she is being told. It felt like a kids manhwa to me even though there's a tag of romance in the genre.
The characters I loved the most is the twins. They are so cute even when they get angry or when they show any kind of expression. In every form I've found them very cute, also the artist has shown their cute art style with chibi characters.
I definitely like the way the colors are so vibrant and lively. I really would love it if anyone would make me keychains of the twins haha. The artist deserves lots of praise his/her name is Kong Ja.
I really liked how positivity is shown in the storyline, even the female lead is so sweet that it doesn't feel real haha. I've read so many dark and tragedy types of manhwa now that I can't enjoy few happy moments, as if I'm waiting for something bad to happen in the story.
It felt a bit rushed when the Duke asked Ailene for a date, because he didn't even try to know her properly. It felt a bit awkward to me, I would have liked it more if there was shown some conversations between them. Anyway, the Duke is handsome hopefully he is the end game.
The name of the manhwa is "I didn't Sign Up to be a Nanny!," Currently there are two seasons and they are still on-going, the latest chapter is 101, I really don't want to finish it now because then I would be desperate for the new chapters. This manhwa has cute, positive moments, if you like these stuffs then feel free to read it on webtoon.
