Recently I have been reading an interesting manhwa which I find relatable with one of my friend. The name of the manhwa is "Introverted Us," by the name you can already guess what's the story based on. I really like the fact they have used a relatable name with the story and not something that doesn't even go well with the story. I feel this is one of the most interesting story and speaks of the reality about introverted people. I have seen many introverts and I was once one of them until an incident occured I became an ambivert. This is a high school story but trust me the story is totally fresh and feels different than the others and you will also have a good laugh while reading it.
So, in the beginning of the story we get to see our main protagonist, the female lead who's name is "Jayu Nam," she is a Introvert person who likes to keep distance from everyone else. Because she doesn't know how to communicate or start a conversation, also people around her and even her classmates they don't know her name properly. Everyone finds her creepy and weird. One day it was raining heavily and Jayu had no umbrella she was leaving school and that time a guy came to her with an umbrella, his name is Jahyeok Yeo. He gave her his umbrella and realized that both of them are from the same class, this is the first time someone talked with Jahyeok and offered help, unlike others who tends to ignore her.
Jahyeok is a popular guy in the school because he is a topper in grades, great in sports and also handsome in looks. By born he is an introvert but because of his face he got popularity among people which he never asked for. He doesn't like any of it because he prefers lonely time. From inside he is an introvert in the body of an extrovert. He has to communicate as he does not want to face any kind of hate. Jayhyeok got interested in Jayu and wanted to get to know her better because she's always silent and doesn't care about her surroundings. Jahyeok sees himself in Jayu for that reason he wants to be her friend. On the other hand Jayu has no idea why Jahyeok is talking to her, because she's an introvert she doesn't know how to respond to him. On the other side the friends of Jahyeok were asking to stay away from Jayu because of some rumors. Things starts to get messed up because both of them were misunderstanding each other...
! [Spoilers Ahead!]
The story is very simple and straight, I love each character in this manhwa. I feel each character fills each other's void. I think this is the sweetest story I have read so far. None felt so authentic and real as like this manhwa. I think I will be adding this manhwa to one of my favourite list. I usually like supernatural related manhwa but this manhwa does not require any of that, it's really good on it's own way. The artstyle is average, I won't say it is bad or anything. In my point of view I feel the drawings could be much better and it would make the story highlight more. The colors are less vibrant and soft looking, I think it goes really well with the story.
This is some real comedy manhwa, the interactions between female lead and male lead are extremely funny, misunderstood but cute-pie inside. Same goes with the side characters which are male leads friends they are also super fun to read. Also, the siblings conversation of female lead are hilarious, I can't get enough of it. The more I read the more I get addicted to it. I was feeling sad for a while but this manhwa totally cheered me up with it's amazing sense of humor. Only a few stories can make me laugh for this long, I kept thinking about the situations in real life and it felt so embarrassing and funny I don't know how to explain the situation. My mom heard me laughing and she came and thought I was going crazy. But in real I was reading something funny which made me go like this.
Few situations are relatable and I have been through this, such as one scene where the female lead and male lead are chatting and they don't know how to end the conversation. They kept sending each other emojis until they ran out of it. I have been through the same thing I didn't know what to do or how to end it and it was a hassle and a bit of annoying. When I read the same thing in the manhwa I could not stop thinking about my past time and laughing about it so hard. Overall, I have liked this storyline very much and I reccomend it as well.
