Welcome to Pokemon Type Swap!
In this series i will be taking classic pokemon and changing their type — creating a new, fresh look. I am currently picking pokemon in no particular order and choosing a type i think would fit. Comment any suggestions for future ones below.
Todays pokemon is another Arbok, i have chosen to draw it as a Dark/Fire type.
Original Sketch & Outline
While drawing Arbok yesterday i had 2 sketches made and instead of proceeding with one like i usually do i decided to finish both.
This Arbok has pointed neck hood similar to a fire pattern, i also added another fire themed face to the hood. I added a arrow like tip to the tail. I the added more teeth to the top of the mouth.
Colour
Originally i had planned for this to be red or orange but when i tried the black it just looked right and made the other colours pop.
Background
I added a darker brown mud/sand background with a darker sky.
