Shakti Power
My topic today is "Shakti", the female power which is in every being. To make this more clear in my #collage I have chosen out female images.
The word #Shakti comes from #Hinduism, often known from #yoga classes and is also known in the so-called #Shaktism. Shaktism is a kind of #theological #tradition in Hinduism, as far as I understand it. Basically, "Shakti" is the #cosmic primordial #energy, which is associated with the #female aspect. This represents the #dynamic forces that are believed to move through the #universe. Shakti is seen as a #creative, sustaining, but also destructive energy. This tremendous force is also seen as auspicious source energy.
Shakti is sometimes personified as a #creator #goddess. For example, in the tradition of Shaktism, the so-called Adi Parashakti is worshipped as the Supreme Being. On every level of creation, this energy manifests itself in all the different forms of matter. Moreover, these are interpreted as infinite forms of Parashakti. Shakti is said to be without beginning, and without end, and is described as nitya (eternal).
Since this world is very #masculine at the moment, which is clearly felt, because even many #women have to bring out their masculine nature to assert themselves in #business and private #life, I felt it as beneficial to highlight the #feminine aspect. The creative side of a person is Shakti. As well as the #art and #music is assigned to shakti. How fitting for our art community, isn't it?
