My Interpretation of "the girl with a Pearl earring"
Heyho guys, hope you are all well. Today I present you my variation of "The Girl with the Pearl Earring". This artwork is a so-called tronie, which is simplified to mean the Dutch term for a 17th century "head" that was not meant to be a portrait. It shows a girl wearing an extravagant dress or jacket, a kind of turban and what appears to be a very large pearl earring. A very stylish lady for the time, right? I'm sure that would still look hip today. Me for my part, I really like her taste of style and in clothes.
The original masterpiece is painted in oil on canvas and is 44,5 cm high and 39 cm wide, according to the official information. It is signed with: "IVMeer", but no date was left. It can only be estimated that it was painted around 1665.
Here now my interpretation and acomic variant of the famous lady.
