First of all I want to wish you a happy new year 2023.
I like the idea of starting a new year; I see it as an opportunity to set new goals for myself. I like to mark a new beginning in my notebook, not start a new one unless the old one is finished. I like to have my goals from the previous year in the sabe notebook and mark those that I met.
I think it's always important to have realistic goals and goals that seem like a dream. Sometimes there are things that seem unattainable, but if we don't remind ourselves that we can achieve them, we will never find a way to do it.
I started working on two animations this year. Yes, I've been making digital painted animations for the last two months and I feel that this new medium allows me to express myself in a better way, or maybe it's the excitement of learning something new.
A few years ago I had already tried to start making animations. I loved the idea of being able to tell stories, but unfortunately the results I wanted to achieve were impossible with the tools I had. However, the idea was always on my mind.
Then, I already had tools that would allow me to do it, but for some reason some of the programs were not compatible with my display. Honestly, doing it with some programs with Photoshop was cumbersome for me, because I worked with rotoscoping and I felt that it was not the aesthetic that I wanted to handle. But it wasn't until the end of last year that my friends Carlos and Alondra invited me to participate in an art festival, with an animated piece with sound. I considered it my best opportunity to do something I had always wanted, with the tools I had. So, using Procreate and Adobe Fresco I made a video of myself spinning in a chair, with photos waving around me.
This piece was sold very quick, and although selling is not my main purpose, it is certainly something that motivates me to continue dedicating myself to art as a way of life.

Hola a todos!
Primero que nada quiero desearles un feliz año nuevo 2023. Me gusta la idea de empezar un año nuevo, pues, lo veo como la oportunidad de plantearme nuevas metas. Me gusta marcar un nuevo comienzo en mi agenda, no empezar una nueva a menos que haya acabado la anterior. Me gusta tener mis metas del año anterior y marcar aquellas que cumplí.
Creo que siempre es importante tener metas realistas y metas que parezcan un sueño. A veces hay cosas que parecen inalcanzables, pero si no nos recordamos que podemos lograrlas, nunca encontraremos la manera de hacerlo.
Este año empiezo trabajando en dos animaciones. Si, he estado haciendo pinturas digitales animadas en los últimos dos meses y siento que este nuevo medio me permite expresarme de mejor manera, o quizás es la emoción de aprender algo nuevo.
Hace algunos años ya había intentado empezar a hacer animaciones. Me encantaba la idea de poder narrar historias, pero lamentablemente los resultados que quería obtener eran imposibles con las herramientas que tenía. Sin embargo, la idea siempre estuvo en mi cabeza.
Luego, tenía ya herramientas que me permitirían hacerlo, pero por alguna razón algunos de los programas no eran compatibles con mi display. Sinceramente, hacerlo con algunos programas con Photoshop me resultaba engorroso, pues trabajé con rotoscopia y sentía que no era la estética que quería manejar. Pero no fue sino hasta finales del año pasado que mis amigos Carlos y Alondra me invitaron a participar en un festival de arte, con una pieza animada y con sonido. Yo lo considere mi mejor oportunidad para hacer algo que siempre había querido, con las herramientas que tenía. Así, usando procreate y adobe fresco hice un vídeo de misma girando en una silla, con fotos que ondean a mi alrededor.
