Good evening. After several difficult days without being able to draw, today I was able to grab my tablet and relax for a while by painting. Although drawings with yellowish tones aren't my strong suit, I really like capturing the tones of a sunset, and that's exactly what I was looking for in this drawing. The reflection of the afternoon sun shines through the window of a dark room, illuminating the face and parts of the walls. I think it's truly beautiful. I hope you like it.
I sketched and began filling in the face using shades of yellow, orange, and brown for the darker areas. On a new layer, I added more colors to give the face more structure and then began blending everything together, creating textured skin. For this blend, I used a hard brush and a medium opacity to maintain that rustic finish. Then, I painted the eyebrows and eyelashes.
I painted the hair, which I had a lot of conflict with since I drew a slightly strange hairstyle, I felt that it didn't fit too well, but really everything doesn't have to be perfect, I decided to keep it and add some details of lights and fine strands around it to give that "disheveled" impression. For the clothes, I simply used a very dark color almost reaching black and in the background I put a brown. With a slightly desaturated yellow, I made some highlights in the background simulating the sunlight bouncing. I added a little more color to the face and finally highlights on the nose, eyes, and cheekbones to highlight those areas.
