Hope | A mixture of surrealism and realism

Como están amigos? Espero que se encuentren muy bien, el día de hoy les presento mi última ilustración la cual tenía días realizando, finalmente hoy la pude terminar, realmente ame el resultado, esta vez me inspire en aves blancas quería combinarlas en un lindo retrato y como casi siempre me gusta usar el cielo de fondo, además que se relaciona bastante con el tema del dibujo.

“Hope” es una obra que hice inspirándome en esa esperanza que siempre se mantiene viva a pesar de los malos momentos, a pesar de sentirte derrotado, estas hermosas aves representan esa esperanza y esa libertad que algún día logramos obtener, quise realizar este dibujo con un toque realista y a la vez surrealista además de usar trazos muy rústicos en los bordes, para dar una apariencia de oleo sobre todo en las aves.

I hope you are very well, today I present you my last illustration which I had been doing for days, finally today I was able to finish it, I really loved the result, this time I was inspired by white birds I wanted to combine them in a beautiful portrait and as almost always I like to use the sky in the background, besides that it is quite related to the theme of the drawing.

"Hope" is a work that I did inspired by that hope that always stays alive despite the bad times, despite feeling defeated, these beautiful birds represent that hope and that freedom that we reach some day, I wanted to make this drawing with a realistic and at the same time surreal touch as well as using very rustic strokes on the edges, to give an oil-like appearance, especially in the birds.

Con la idea ya en mente, realice mi boceto y comencé a pintar usando una paleta de tonos piel bastante pálida, su cabello seria al principio pelirrojo pero decidí mejor hacerlo oscuro y hacer que su piel resalte aún más, quería realizar su cabello con un peinado diferente así que pinte estos pequeños mechones pegados a su cara formando unas ondas, poco a poco fui dando mas textura a la piel y difuminando cada color para formar su rostro y torso perfectamente.

With the idea already in mind, I made my sketch and began to paint using a fairly pale skin tone palette, her hair would be red at first but I decided better to make it dark and make her skin stand out even more, I wanted to make her hair with a hairstyle different so I painted these little strands attached to her face forming waves, little by little I was giving more texture to the skin and blurring each color to form her face and torso perfectly.

Al principio había pintado sus ojos usando tonos blancos y grises, sin embargo probe una nueva capa con un ajuste de “overlay” y pinte usando tonos rojos sus ojos, se veía muy hermoso a mi parecer, así que dibuje algunas venas usando colores rojo, morado y amarillo, aplique mas realismo a su cabello usando sombras y luces del mismo tono de marrón y dibuje esta especie de maquillaje que cubre el centro de su rostro y boca, luego pinte las aves y para las plumas use un pincel de plumas que tengo instalado en Photoshop, multiplique estas capas para crear tres plumas en cada lado, pinte un poco de sangre de donde se supone que salen estas plumas.

At first I had painted his eyes using white and gray tones, however I tried a new layer with an “overlay” setting and painted his eyes using red tones, it looked very beautiful in my opinion, so I drew some veins using red colors, purple and yellow, apply more realism to her hair using shadows and lights of the same shade of brown and draw this kind of makeup that covers the center of her face and mouth, then paint the birds and for the feathers I use a feather brush that I have installed in Photoshop, multiply these layers to create three feathers on each side, paint some blood where these feathers are supposed to come from.

Como les comenté, me gusta mucho aplicar fondos de cielo en mis dibujos, así que esta vez lo hice y puse un poco de azul justo detrás de las plumas para que no se perdieran de vista mezclándose con las nubes blancas, aplique más detalles al dibujo como sombras y luces, un poco mas de trazos bruscos alrededor de esta chica, y las aves, finalmente aplique un ajuste de color, contraste y saturación al dibujo, para hacerlo aun mas intenso.

As I told you, I really like to apply sky backgrounds in my drawings, so this time I did it and put a little blue just behind the feathers so that they wouldn't get lost mixing with the white clouds, I applied more details to the drawing like shadows and lights, a little more rough strokes around this girl, and the birds, finally apply a color, contrast and saturation adjustment to the drawing, to make it even more intense.

Hay muchos detalles de cerca que me encantan, como sus ojos y su rostro en general al igual que estas lindas aves y como no se pueden apreciar bien en la imagen principal les dejare algunos recortes que hice en Photoshop para que puedan apreciar mas de cerca.

There are many close-up details that I love, such as his eyes and his face in general, as well as these beautiful birds, and since they cannot be seen well in the main image, I will leave you some cuts that I made in Photoshop so that you can appreciate them more closely.
