GM community, I just finished this work to which I put a lot of love, for recommendation of my friend
who wanted a drawing of this style from me, we saw a photo manipulation that had a similar theme, I don't remember where on Instagram but we loved it .
That is why I wanted to be inspired to make my version in a drawing which, despite being a portrait, was quite difficult, I don't even know how many hours it took me, but I feel happy with the result no matter what, I try to do the details as realistic as I could and add a simple textured background so as not to overload the drawing, I feel that it is a nostalgic portrait and that represents me a lot in my style, I am completely in love with this work I hope you like it.
I started my sketch in which I added all the details I wanted, I already had this idea in mind for a few days so it wasn't that complicated, I would say that the most difficult thing was the pleated garment (which to be honest I don't know the exact name of this garment LOL) has so many doubles that it makes me a bit dizzy, anyways, I chose the color palette this time using skin tones and depositing them on the face, I created new layers where I added more tones and began to blend them, this time I wanted a soft face so I blended all the colors very well with the brush in a low opacity and thus give that soft texture to the skin.
For the hair I used a dark brown color and a cream color for the garment, the gray background made some noise so I changed to a dark background, I began to give details to the garment with different brown and beige tones, as I mentioned, I got very dizzy with these lines and I realized that it was not as symmetrical as I thought it had been in the sketch, when painting, I modified the shape of the lines doing the best I could, little by little I began to blur it and thus I managed to finish these creases, also add some highlights on the hair and some highlights a little darker.
Now I started with the makeup, using a red tone and playing a bit with the blending mode of the layers, thus creating a red that looked a little more natural, I love adding reddish tones on the face, because that way it gives the appearance that she was crying, so I applied a little "blush" on the nose and cheeks, I painted some tears falling from the eyes and I began to apply small points of light that would bring more life to the drawing, for the background I used a somewhat rustic texture but with a slight opacity, finally apply a color adjustment to finish off and stylize the whole drawing a bit.
