Hello there, everyone~~ I hope this post finds you well.
I recently finished drawing my book cover for Alien Art's Cosmic Creation Contest. I chose the book Oliver Twist. I'm not a book person when it comes to non-scientific books, but I liked this one as a kid and I still adore it to this day - that's why I chose to draw him as a book cover.
There are many adaptations and variations to his story, book, and covers, and I didn't find any definite cover as the one to go by, so I came up with my own cover art /for him.
I portrayed him wearing patchy clothes as an orphan and that cap English people wear :D
I thought overdid his expression with the gloomy vibe he gives (and also the shadowy face). He looks as if he's about to shank you in the streets of London after midnight, but that also could play well into the fact that he's actually a good guy (it creates this sorta paradox that I find interesting)
Or there could be this parody of him "Oliver Twisted" where he's a good guy, and he does good, but through questionable means...
Anyways, enough daydreaming :))
Here's some process for this week's work, I hope you enjoy it as well :3
Cheers~~
