ENTER SANDMAN
I hope you are having a great time.
This year I was motivated to take on the Inktober challenge but unfortunately I've had many setbacks that have delayed me a bit but I took the opportunity tonight to finish prompt 1 and get more inspired to continue with the next prompts.
This illustration was made in Photoshop using brushes with textures similar to ink markers.
My starting point was making a sketch in a traditional way with graphite pencil and paper to capture the idea of what I wanted to get in the illustration.
Once the idea was finished, I transferred the sketch to my PC and started to create the artwork.
It occurred to me to make each prompt similar to a tarot card so I prepared the canvas in this way and began to illustrate from the sketch, it always happens to me that I usually deviate a little from the initial sketch as I progress with the illustration.
The final result of the illustration is a girl in a trance dreaming while Sandman checks her dreams.
