Beyond Human, UNDYING: The Ghost Rider

My entry to this contest is Ghost Rider.
Ghost Rider is a fictional supernatural character from Marvel Comics. The character is best known for being a motorcycle-riding antihero with a flaming skull, who transforms into a vengeful spirit at night or when provoked.

The character first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #5 in 1972. The real name of the most famous version is Johnny Blaze. He was created by Roy Thomas, Gary Friedrich, and artist Mike Ploog.

There are many other versions of Ghost Rider up to the present day. However, I especially like the 2007 film adaptation starring Nicolas Cage. It makes perfect sense and brings the character to life in a powerful way.

I view ghost rider as a creature that cannot die, and this fits perfectly with the given theme titled Undying.

Major Version of Ghost Rider

In the realm of the immortals,
Where shadows whisper and time folds upon itself,
A fiery oath was carved into the bones of fate.

The Ghost Rider is here.
It is a creature cursed with eternal vengeance.
The Ghost Rider rises not by choice, but by duty—one it must serve.
Created to hunt the wicked and to balance the scales of justice with chains of fire.
Its eyes, with dazzling flames that can’t be quenched with mortal water.

Version 2

Its bike roars—
Not like the mortal lion, nor the mortal bear.
The roar of his engine shakes the heavens
And every breath of the evil mankind.

Hmm!
The scent of brimstone trails in his wake.
Yet awake, he transforms to salvage.
With eyes hollow and burning with judgment,
Ready to pass it to the gatherings of the wicked.

In his forelimbs,
A chain forged from the cries of the guilty.
With a pentadactyl throw of chains,
He showcases his strength, which wipes off the mortal.

Around his neck,
The mark of the damned—proof of a soul once lost.

Version 3

A storm brews across the mortal plane.
Something ancient has awakened...
And the Rider must answer the call once again.

Once placed in its fire,
One is stripped of every immortality.
Not even gods dare to look into its flames,
For within them lies the truth of every sin.

The red alert signals—
Pulses like a heartbeat.
You try to run,
Yet you pause at the presence of the traffic signal.
This creates a catch-up time for the Ghost Rider.

Your heart keeps pounding...
Until you are doomed.

Ha ha ha ha ha... ha!
You find out that Ghost Riders are apoptotic—
Yet their fire causes necrosis in you.
A programmed death in them...
Becomes an unprogrammed torment in you.
