Here's a painting I'm currently working on.
After my board priming last week, I kicked off with this painting on Monday this week. The last time I painted on a board was in 2019 which was alla-prima (wet on wet painting which is finished in one sitting).
So making the masquerade painting of 2ft by 2.5ft started well but today I noticed that the board isn't giving me that oil colour feeling, it keeps rubbing freely and not even coating my yesterday's laid paints well.
The whole process wasn't appetizing for me again since I can't really do my thing like I do it on canvas.
Here are the primed boards, I am just showing this again because of the wasted primer on these boards, I will definitely not use it again for painting but maybe for framing.
The painting is beautiful - YES! but am not feeling the oil colour effect here which usually fuels my creativity.
I will just have to go buy a canvas even though it's a bit costly here which was the major reason why I settled for a board but here we are.
Hopefully Hopefully, I will be back with another masquerade painting on canvas, see you later.
