Here’s my entry for the splinterlands Art contest. This week I decided to draw “Jini Guise”. She is one of the most beautiful cards so I wanted to draw a beautiful portrait of her.
Coloring progress: After I did the sketch and started coloring her face I noticed I drew her nose a little big so I changed the shape of it and made it a little small. I think I couldn’t help it if I didn’t drew it digitally because I didn’t have to draw it from the start because in traditional art it’s nearly impossible to erase it.
She has beautiful red eyes in original card and I wanted the focus be on her eyes so I drew big eyes for her and used light violet as her eyeshadow color to emphasize on it more. I chose this color because I wanted it to match with her dress.
For the background I thought drawing clouds will make it look good.
Something that was really fun about painting this portrait was coloring her hair. I finally managed to make it look more realistically. I spent a lot of time on her hair trying different techniques to realize how I should draw it. It’s not so realistic but I’m happy because I made a lot of progress while drawing this portrait.
