I was attempting to do crabby today, I swear I was! But I honestly wasn't so enthusiastic about the prompt word so I ended up skipping it XD
another prompt I'll be doing by the end of the month. That makes 2 skips now ;;-;; damn is it hard to think of what to draw for these random prompts.
Date of writing: October 12
As I was saying, I had no idea how to draw crabby XD I thought I could make the hermit crab living in a shell a little more appealing to me because of the skull part, but apparently that wasn't dark enough for me
I did work on the next prompt word when I finished eating dinner though, and surprisingly, my work progress on that went smoother than my crabby prompt. Pretty frustrating, I know XD but oh well, it is, what it is.
Here's my day 11 drawing OwO
It's more a painting than anything else tbh.
You see, I was originally gonna detail this in with a 0.05 and a 0.1 fineliner. Unfortunately, none of my white pens would cooperate with me tonight. Why? I have no idea. I think it's because I brought them in my pockets the whole day so the temperatures I was exposed to may have damaged them a bit.
I was off to a pretty good start here because the white ink was still coming out from the tip.
Around this part, none of my remaining pens would work ;;-;; and I honestly had no choice but to sacrifice one for the sake of finishing this ;;-;;
Since none of them would work, I decided to open one up and just collect the ink. I thought it could function as paint if i dilute it in a bit of acetone XD
Lo and behold~!!!!! so white gel ink looked really pretty as paint, but I am definitely not gonna open another pen up for the next drawing XD
A friend suggested to just go with white acrylic paint since I know how to use acrylic paint too. I mean, I do, but I've never used acrylic in mixed media like this. It could be worth a shot though since it's for art month and I need the kind of color vibrancy and solidity acrylic paint has.
Oh, did I mention that I spent maybe 20 minutes staring at this because I was torn between adding more black ink to improve it (or potentially ruin it), or just posting it as is.
After asking my sisters, I ended up adding that black ink after all, I was not disappointed though since it came out beutifully and so intense! It has that same appeal as those japanese ink paintings ;;w;; (sort of)
Materials used: white ink, black ink
Duration: 2 hours
This is all from me today~
My arms hurt like a b*tch because the senpai that oriented me on sample preparation made me carry a 25 kg pulverizing basin and I honestly thought I would drop it on my feet or that my arms would hecking fall off along with the pulverizing basin ;;-;;
I'm weak man ;;-;; I lack the physical needs of being a geochemist ;;-;;
