I didn't have time to write during my lunch break today ;;n;; I was so tired that I just took a nap with my comfort pillow in the lab. Anyways, I'm finally writing cuz I finally finished the drawing I was working on.
Today's prompt word bounce and by definition, bounce is the quick up and down movement of an object. The first thing that actually came to mind when I saw this word was bouncing boobies XD but I don't think I'm allowed to draw that kind of bounce XD so I looked up other things that bounce XD
I saw bouncing balls and bouncing cars in my google search but I also saw bouncing ballerinas and I felt like I could do a dynamic pose today because I was seriously way too dynamic today.
So here is my try at a dynamic pose after avoiding it for so long
Duration: 3 hours and it kind of went longer because I added another ink layer to it XD
Materials: Black ink, rainbow pen, white gel pen
She doesn't look that bouncy here but I added those white streaks to give it a little more life and to make it look like it has movement... somewhere.
And I actually didn't take enough progression shots for this one too because of how busy I was today ;;A;; But I did try to take some shots when I remembered.
So here's how my process went for today
First and foremost, I had to lose my mind over anatomy because... well.... who is me if I don't lose my mind over anatomy XD
And to think it's just the rough sketch too.
When I started coloring it, I was surprised that the orange pen I had really blended well into the pink to give off that really mildly tanned skin tone. It kind of makes me curious to try the pens out on a portrait one of these days... but maybe when I start on my surprise for my boyfriend XD and good thing he isn't on the platform, otherwise my surprise wouldn't be a surprise anymore.
Moving forward, this was when I was shading everything in when I thought of adding another ink layer to give it a little more depth and to make it more dramatic, as if she was actually bouncing on stage.
And I forgot to take a photo of how blotchy it came out cuz the ink didn't mix evenly and that was why I had to chalk in the gesture lines in the background... though I did hope it would look like gusts of wind, but however you see it, I gues XD
So this is everything from me tonight. I am so sleepy, probably because I'm having a bit of wine while typing this XD
So there's my day 9!
And I hope I won't be too tired to write about my day 1 tomorrow XD I'm starting on that one now and idk how alcohol works while I'm drawing cuz I never tried drunk drawing... but there's always a first for everything XD
