Hey hey~ It is now September 10 on my side of the world... I missed some days, but I definitely will try to catch up on those days after everything or like when I get the free time to ;;-;;
I wanted to post my prompts individualy, unfortumately real life and needing to clean the house gets in the way... a lot. meal prep and groceries also take up a lot of time and I really hope someone can take over my house duties soon so I can focus on other things that are much more profitable for all of us. Anyways, I combined the post for 2 days because I don't like posting twice in a single day XD it isn't good for me.
So this is my combined prompt day 9 and day 10
For day 9, I have plant monster. I was planning to take another splinterlands character for this, but since I was focusing on a quick sketch, I just went with what came to mind.
Materials used: markers, rainbow pen, paintbrush
Duration: 2 hours
I was rushing this a little... actually I worked on both prompts at the same time. For this one, I did my usual marker inking technique where I randomly make marker streaks then I blend it with water and a paintbrush. But I started with a yellow base cuz I wasn't so sure where I wanted to take this prompt yet, I just know that yellow is a good base for plant drawings.
From this point, I had t o speed sketch this. Make the shape out with the black pen, filled the color in with a brown pen, add a bit more texture and color with an orange pen, then I added a bit of yellow to blend all the colors in.
But before I could do more detailing, I added a second layer of ink to it to give it a more unique background cuz yellow wasn't enough for my eyes for some reason.
I was pretty okay with the turnout after adding a bit of highlights cuz it looked like a comic book monster and idk, I just find this monster cute. It could be like... a guardian of the forest!
Next up is my dragon prompt!
Materials, blue and black ink, red marker, black and white pen
Duration: 2 hours
I did do these two prompts at the same time XD I would move back and forth every time I applied an ink layer XD But for this one, I focused on ink a lot more.
Started off with a loose ink painting technique here and quite honestly, I was already pretty satisifed at that point cuz it was such minimalistic art but you could already make out the shapes. It was a different story when it dried though XD cuz the dpeth of the wet ink faded and it definitely either needed a detail up or another ink layer. But sisnce I wasn't so skilled with loose ink painting in itself, I just did the detail up route cuz I wanted a detailed dragon XD
So this was about an hour in, before I added a few more ink layers to it. IDK I just felt like focusing on ink today because I was already planning out my inktober prompts too. I call this extreme multitasking, I know. And Sketchtember isn't even done yet XD I can already see my doom for these next few months.
But for now, I am happy with today's creations UwU the dragon looks peaceful and I feel like I could have built a better environment/background for my plant monster, but meal prep is a pain and I have to get ready for work again ;;-;;
This is all from me! Thank you for reading until here! I hope to see you in the comment section or maybe on my next blog UwU
