As I said in another post, I have been scanning drawings since the records I had were not that good.
Graphite drawings are not something that I have done a lot but I have always been fascinated by the result, so much definition and detail can be achieved. Most of my works start from scratch, I mean, I hardly ever have an idea or sketch so I'm always surprised by what comes up. What I do is let myself be guided by shadows and lights that I see on paper and little by little the character emerges. I can not explain it in another way honestly.
It is incredible that this is how this drawing was born and it never ceased to amaze me.
