I decided to take a break from using animation in my artwork and returned to the art of collage. Animation can sometimes be quite time-consuming, and lately, I've been feeling too tired to dive into it. For the past few days, I've been busy with outdoor activities, exploring the surrounding nature, gardening, tending to new seedlings, and learning the ropes of gardening. It's a more organic activity, getting my hands dirty with soil and feeling connected to nature.
However, my desire to create art is still burning, and I still manage to find time to make collages because it's something I've been building up over the past few years.
Now I understand why I've been incorporating trees and plants into my recent artworks. It seems like I'm longing for nature.
This is reflected in my latest work.
While out in nature, I've come across so many colors, from living creatures to inanimate objects around me, and it's just as fascinating as the color palette on my canvas. From the colors and objects I've found in nature, I've incorporated them into my collage this time. Everything from flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, clouds, to cats.
After cutting everything out, I arranged each object one by one. Since the inspiration for this piece came from nature, I chose green as the background color and used yellow to depict the warmth of sunlight.
I added some butterflies at the top to make it feel more lively, but ultimately, I decided not to include them in the final result.
