Hola a todos mi hermosa comunidad. Hoy quiero mostrarles parte del proceso creativo de pintura en el que estoy trabajando. Hace unas semanas me contrataron para crear la portada de un libro. Al momento de reunirme con el escritor el dejo bastante claras las directrices de lo que quería y de como imaginaba él, el personaje principal de su libro o bueno eso creía él y yo también lo creía, pero no fue así. Por supuesto antes de empezar a trabajar para empaparme mejor y conocer a más profundidad el personaje que iba a crear me leí una buena parte de libro. Más adelante les contaré todo sobre el personaje, cuando este listo por ahora les muestro este adelanto.

Hello everyone my beautiful community. Today I want to show you part of the creative painting process I'm working on. A few weeks ago I was hired to create a book cover. When I met with the writer he made quite clear the guidelines of what he wanted and how he imagined the main character of his book or well he thought so and I thought so too, but it wasn't like that. Of course before starting to work to soak myself better and get to know more deeply the character I was going to create I read a good part of the book. Later I will tell you all about the character, when I'm ready for now I'll show you this preview.

Construcción del personaje

Character building.

El primer personaje que pinte le gustó mucho al escritor, sin embargo me pidió que recreará el mismo personaje pero en una versión más joven, así que deje a un lado el arte que había realizado y empecé a crear una versión más joven del mismo personaje. Finalmente cuando se la muestro me dice que le gusta pero desea que le realice otra versión ya que esta versión no es el personaje que el tiene en su mente, la verdad el mismo admitió que aunque tiene muy claro como es el personaje no me ha transmitido todas las ideas para yo poder plasmarlas.😶‍🌫️

A decir verdad solo me mostro dos imágenes referenciales una de un rostro que no era humano perteneciente a un juego y la otra imagen era de un personaje de un anime. Ahora que lo pienso creo que debí ver el anime también, pero en fin es un personaje en construcción.🤔😶‍🌫️

The first character I painted the writer liked it very much, however he asked me to recreate the same character but in a younger version, so I put aside the art I had done and started to create a younger version of the same character. Finally when I show it to him he tells me that he likes it but he wants me to make another version since this version is not the character he has in his mind, the truth is that he himself admitted that although he has very clear how the character is he has not transmitted me all the ideas for me to be able to capture them. 😶‍🌫️

To tell the truth it only showed me two referential images, one of a non-human face from a game and the other image was of a character from an anime. Now that I think about it I think I should have seen the anime too, but anyway it's a character under construction.🤔😶‍🌫️

Mañana me reuniré nuevamente con el escritor para recibir las nuevas indicaciones, aunque ya después de crear varias versiones del mismo personaje creo que ya entiendo exactamente lo que desea, aun así esperare a nuestra reunión para seguir avanzando. Mientras pueden ver esta versión y darme su opinión.

La versión joven del personaje

The young version of the character.

Esta versión del persona es joven, se supone que es una princesa, de un reino de magos, ella es ambiciosa, hambrienta de poder y perversa, sin embargo su imagen es un poco dulce . Aunque trate de capturar esas características en esta versión creo que no lo logre del todo.🫠🙃

This version of the persona is young, she is supposed to be a princess, from a kingdom of wizards, she is ambitious, power hungry and wicked, however her image is a bit sweet . Although I try to capture those characteristics in this version I think I don't quite succeed 🫠🙃.

Para este trabajo cree mi boceto, a la hora de pintar decidí utilizar la herramienta regla de espejo o simetría herramienta que me fue bastante útil, me ayudó a agilizar una buena parte del trabajo. Respecto a la paleta de colores use colores cálidos rosas, marfil, naranjas y rojos. Utilice principalmente los pinceles de aerógrafo para la piel y pinceles de texturas para las ropas y prendas.

For this work I created my sketch, at the time of painting I decided to use the mirror ruler tool or symmetry tool that was quite useful, it helped me to speed up a good part of the work. Regarding the color palette I used warm pinks, ivory, oranges and reds. I mainly used airbrush brushes for the skin and texture brushes for the clothes and garments.
