Hello bloggers, how are you? I'm very happy to bring you a new illustration for the splinterlands art contest for another week. I love to participate, because week after week I'm releasing the ideas I have in my mind, or sometimes just the ones that come from my soul. It's like magic; speaking of magic, this week I recreated the character SEA GENIE and I loved the result. Now I'll tell you how it went and show you the step by step I did. Here we go...

Hola bloggers ¿como estan? estoy muy feliz por poder traerles una nueva ilustración para el concurso de arte de splinterlands un semana más. Me encanta participar, pues voy semana tras semana liberando las ideas que tengo en mi mente, o veces solo las que me salen del alma. Es como una magia; hablando de magia, esta semana he recreado el personaje SEA GENIE y me ha encantado el resultado. Ahora te cuento como fue y te muestro el paso a paso que hice. Vamos allá...

Creation process/proceso de creacion ✎:

For the sketch phase and get to recreate him in my style. Getting to look a little more innocent and childish. I changed his pose with his arms crossed and put him in one as if saying "What now ?" Para la fase de boceto y llegar a recrearle a mi estilo. LLegando a parecer un poco más inocente e infantil. Le cambie su pose con los brazos cruzados y lo puse en una como diciendo "¿Y ahora qué ?" XD. Mirando un rayo de luz de arriba que eran unos buzos que andaban por esos lados del mar.

For the color phase I hesitated a little bit whether to continue with the color of the character or change it to a more skin tone. Because in my opinion he looked like a smurf XD. But as in many cases; you progress and the results start to be different.

Para la fase de color dude un poco si seguir por el color del personaje o cambiarlo a un tono mas piel. Pues a mi parecer se le veía un pitufo XD. Pero como muchos casos; vas avanzando y los resultados empiezan a ser distintos.

I loved the idea that this genie lives in the sea. It is a different way to the one we already know. I also liked this process that I have used the way to make gold or golden texture in my style. at the beginning it is complicated but when you learn the technique everything flows better.

Me ha encantado la idea que este genio vive en el mar. Es una forma diferente a la que ya conocemos. También me gustó de este proceso que he empleado la manera de hacer textura de oro o dorada en mi estilo. al principio es complicado pero cuando aprendes la técnica todo fluye mejor.

Finally, in the background of the illustration; I used a sea background with some fish in the dark and a yellow fog reaching the genie on his side. I was very satisfied with the result and it was a lot of fun to be able to make this creation.

Para finalizar, en el fondo de la ilustración; Utilice un fondo marino con algunos peces en la oscuridad y una niebla de color amarillo que va alcanzando al genio de su costado. Quedé muy satisfecho con el resultado y fue muy divertido poder hacer esta creación.
