All who look
____________
Look closely, child, into the livid center
of the life that never vanishes, but glimmers
with the changing of the guard — upon the garment
of the sentinels, the verdant cross, and cimarron
the lifeblood of the sacred heart embroidered
on silk with silver thread.
Yet in the passage stately, scintillating
with the dignity of ages long and ponderous
be swayed not by sight alone of wonderous
soul majesty enthroned in form, but contemplate
the inner state evinced by such diaphanous parade
across an ever-greening lawn.
Now as the aeons yawn and take their slumber
in eternity's adventuring — the-wandering's-worth,
experience, the dreamed boon and sceptre glints
through ageless night's epiphany of timelessness,
my child — closely peer upon lumosity
and banish from you form.
Nay, banish not — abeyance manufacture
from the freshling bud of wisdom now unfurling,
dropping nectar of the rishis' spirit garden
from the astral arboretum where the pure of mind
are waiting, with the patience of the infinite
embracing all who look.
