Cressida had bold thoughts
She'd glow with them. Golden thoughts of maths and poetry; elaborate fractals might fill her view only to dissolve into magnificent landscape paintings of the 19th century.
She had contemplated 'life' forever, it felt
Though, to be fair, she wasn't quite sure what 'forever' could mean. For instance how long had she been standing here?
She knew the soft crush of the aubergine velvet of her gown was intoxicating
Only, she thought, wondering at the bright flashes of electric lights in the room, when did I put on this gown?
No matter how complex her Golden thoughts would be Cressida simply could not find the answer to the most simple, such as why is it she could not reach the other side of the room? When she attempted it she found it hard to move beyond this point...odd.
Cressida decided it was best to return to contemplating the beauty of the past or the complexities of maths and poetry and not concern herself with forward motion or the origins of her gown.
Cressida continued to glow in her Golden thoughts
Well, today's piece is a sketch I made and scanned as I oft like to do.
I had sketched her for a more involved digital oil piece, which I'm still considering. But, she will want to live so I gave her some 'life' with playing with color as soon as she was made digital.
As I've said before it's always fun to fill sections and shapes as soon as a sketch has moved into the computer
In fact playing with these shapes helped me to realize how I wanted to 'color' her for the animated gif for the NFT.
I then began adding some watercolor background
I added more color and paint splatters
I realized then, that as she was destined for #NFTshowrooms that she would need to be horizontal and not vertical, as you see her now, so I cropped her:
She then was ready to be made into a series of images (7 to be exact) to create the animation for the NFT
And here she is in her #NFT form:
And I've happily made 5 of her available here on my nftshowroom page if you would like to give Cressida a good home. She will need a good power source, but don't worry, she cannot wander very far.
I hope you enjoyed my new #NFT and another in my Singularity series. I love to combine my love of sketching and ladies and old fashion with the tech of an imagined future. Our own real future is always uncertain but the fantasy of high tech and old beauty usually helps me to think about the future in a more pleasant way.
I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your passions and as always, remember to stay creative!
