Anoriah defied Nanny and dressed her Robot Chum.
She found Nanny impertinent and could find no reason why her bot should not be dressed for schoolroom tea. She'd no close of her own, poor bot, so Anoriah did the unthinkable and slipped off her own afternoon frock to give to her electric chum.
Anoriah strode into tea confidently in her underthings; her bot in her dress. Miss Elsinore, her Governess, dropped her teacup with a rattle to the schoolroom floor.
"It was worth it," thought Anoriah, "for now we'll be obliged to get the dressmaker in for sweet bot."
I hope you like my new Victorian scene of a girl and her bot.
Ever since these pairings started showing up in my sketchbook, I seem to becoming infatuated with them.
I just loved the idea of a stubborn little girl upset that her robot chum (seen more as an appliance to her household) deserved her own clothing.
Picturing a defiant child, at home, in a Victorian schoolroom in the attics of her home and pouting at her Nanny as she refuses to dress her robot.
In the corridor outside the schoolroom, Anoriah solves the problem the only way she can.
I hope you like another installment of my little parallel world when robots were invented during the reign of Victoria. I'm having such fun sketching these duo's.
I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions.
