In comments yesterday a fellow Hivian wondered what my style would be like for a giraffe
Well 
This lazy fellow is from my "animals in Chairs" series of which I did quite a number of animals. I've always been obsessed with antiques and furniture and we've a joke in my house that I'm Chair Obsessed.
I'd often find myself, when leaving tag sales, antique shops, thrift stores, charity shops, with a chair. It became quite a habit so one day I thought, "I'll start painting all the various chairs I love so as not to litter the house and barns with them " and thus was born a series.
This fellow looked pretty good on things as well from Pillows to phone cases:
The piece which surprised me the most that sold a few times was the large wall mural:
It is a statement piece and one would need a bold plan for it in their home. I wondered , too, if it didn't end up in some nursery or children's rooms as well.
So, there you see, I did Indeed paint a giraffe. My obsession with animals knows no bounds...I even did an Elephant in this series, Maybe I'll share that next :)
