Queen, Oil on Canvas, 2018
Based on an earlier life drawing (which I appeared not to have scanned), this was another early experiment with oils. I like my early oils. Definitely some of my better stuff.
Of course I really haven't done many oil paintings. I always feel rushed for time, so I like to get things done quickly. Acrylics are better for that. The downside is that they don't blend as well. And they don't seem as forgiving as oils.
Not like I have much time for art now. I'm pretty much limited to two nights a month at figure drawing. And those are oil pastels, an even less forgiving medium than acrylics!
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
