Today I'm back again with a brand new artwork to join the battle of the Splinterlands weekly art contest. Well, this week I decided to draw the Maleic Inferno character card for the contest.
Actually, the character has a muscler build and a very scary look. While drawing, I decided to emphasize on these characters by designing him with a more muscler build and even going as far as adding horns to give him a more scary look.
To be honest, I made reference to pictures of a genie and the devil because I think the Maleic Inferno character looks like a mix of them both.
Without wasting too much time let's move over to the process.
I started my design with a line art of the character then I made sure to indicate the point in which I would add the flames.
I later went on to design a gray scale indicating points where light and darkness will fall.
I placed in the base colours for both the body and the flames.
I took time to design the flames and the rays of light from them. I ensured to design the rays of light hitting the environment around and his body.
Finally I added a background as the last piece of the artwork.
