Digital drawing is still very foreign to me, yet it is an attractive option as it can be used to develop new skills.
On the other hand, I start scribbling more boldly on my digital tablet than if I had a white sheet and a pencil / felt-tip pen and an eraser that only works with a graphite pencil and can cause a lot of annoyance.
So what’s the reason my board has been lying in the desk drawer so far, unused? When I bought it, I tried in GIMP and other drawing softwares, but my computer didn’t like it and kept crashing. And the change of colors and brushes was very slow and cumbersome.
I longed for something very simple that I could enjoy. But that wasn't Windows Paint!
It is quite different!
It's DaDa.nyc community where people can communicate each other by drawing, and no one can point out the shortcomings of my drawing skills. I really like it being live, cheerful, colorful and even humorous. It's very easy to use, the only downside is that the "canvas" you can work on is relatively small (640x480 pixels).
Yesterday I drew 7 pictures in a row with the tools of DaDa, these are a kind of exercises. I have to get used to the technique and get out of it what I am capable of. None of my pictures have been liked yet, but that doesn’t matter.
If I come up with an idea, I don’t have to search for sketch paper (it always runs out when I really need it), but I take out my board and make sketches online. The job in progress is automatically saved at certain intervals. I can watch and continue at any time if I want.
But the greatest thing about it is the community, the inspiration and encouragement of each other. It's a bit like HIVE, but there's no cash-reward here. This is not a problem at all!
As for the topics, it can be anything, but most of all anything weird, unusual, funny and scary at the same time, but even an alien. Fantasy, and so the possibilities are endless.

Easy to use, however, it can be very varied.
You can adjust the background color, brush / pencil / pen size, color, and transparency.
See my pictures - they are simple abstracts with various textures:
