I did a final experiment with fibre and gel pens, plus used some watercolor pencils. I wanted to create something zentangle that fills me with joy. I’ve always admired zentangle drawings, watched a lot of tutorial videos, but mine never got pretty. I note my handwriting is also awful.
Instead, i felt like a waste of time and didn’t finish it, preparing to throw it out.
Then i changed my mind and gave it a last chance.
Scribble step-by-step:
The base is watercolor
Lines drawn with fibre pen - the blue one was soon out of dye, so it died! 😤
Continued with purple, corners were rounded
Then I used watercolor pencils, fibre and gel pens.
My glittery gel pens also died in raw 😞
Closeup details
I stopped scribbling and filling the spaces.
Then threw out the empty pens. Never more buy them!
