This is the first time I have attempted a self-portrait in this style, as I have always been known for creating exaggerated and ugly caricatures, typically considered unattractive due to their exaggerated expressions and macabre and dark appearance.
You can see some of my other work a little further down. Yes, but if you check my profile, for now I can share part of the process of creating this design. This is the first part, as I still need to work on the T-shirt, the arms, and the rest of the body, and then continue with the background.
This design, as I said, is based on a photograph of myself, with the main outline and filling in with that skin color. You can see how flat the drawing looks in this style, and that's where I started adding some shadows. But before that, there were those expression lines that at first I simply had no idea how to place, but by playing around with the photo editor, I was able to achieve these shadows layer by layer.
When I added the first layer of shadows and those expression lines, the volume of this face began to show a little. Honestly, I am very satisfied with these new projects I am doing, as they allow me to experiment with something new and expand my horizons a little.
I worked on the last layer I added, and for now, this is the final result. I say "for now" because, as I mentioned at the beginning, I still need to work on the rest of the body and the background. I want to share with you a video of the process of creating this design, which I uploaded to my Facebook page here.
