On the grounds of the Leofinance community you can see little lions working tirelessly every day to grow. Through hard training and contact with other members of the pride, they are gradually becoming skilled in the art they are passionate about: economics.
But since May, thanks to the adoption campaign in Zealy, a new cub joined the pack. He's been slowly staking tokens and continues to accumulate to complete his goals before June 10, when the competition for the toughest lions in the pride ends. That new lion's name is Tommy.

En los predios de la comunidad Leofinance se puede ver a pequeños leones trabajando incansablemente día a día para crecer. Ellos, mediante duros entrenamientos y gracias al contacto con otros miembros de la manada, poco a poco se van curtiendo en el arte que los apasiona: Economía.
Pero desde el mes de mayo, gracias a la campaña de adopción en Zealy, un nuevo cachorro se sumó a la manada. Ha hecho stake del token poco a poco y sigue acumulando para completar sus objetivos antes del diez de junio, fecha en que culmina la competencia de los leones más resistentes de la manada. Ese nuevo león se llama Tommy.
Hi guys! Once again I post in this community with an illustration designed by me in Adobe Illustrator. This time, I wanted to continue learning how to handle elements such as shadow, light and color. With this humanoid lion I also explore the text tool of this editing program, which is quite easy to work with, but like everything else, it requires practice.
I really enjoyed creating this little lion. He's kind of a karate kid. And by the brown color of his belt we can deduce that he already has some expertise. See also the gloves he wears and his fighting stance. Despite his adorable face, Tommy is a dangerous lion.
¡Hola chicos! Otra vez publico en esta comunidad con una ilustración diseñada por mí en Adobe Illustrator. En esta oportunidad, quise seguir aprendiendo a manejar elementos como la sombra, la luz y el color. Con este leoncito humanoide también exploro la herramienta texto de ese programa de edición, la cual es bastante sencilla de trabajar, pero como todo, requiere práctica.
Disfruté mucho creando a este leoncito. Él es una especie de karateca. Y por el color de marrón de su cinturón podemos deducir que ya tiene cierta experticia. Vean también los guantes que porta y su postura combativa. A pesar de tener una carita muy adorable, Tommy es un león peligroso.
Step by step
I started the drawing process with an ellipse and adjusted the anchor points with the pen tool for the body. Then for the head I drew a rectangle and in the same way I modified the structure with the pen tool. For the eyes I drew a small ellipse, I tilted it a little and duplicated and rotated it so that they fit correctly.
The nose looked a bit like the Ethereum sign, but not 😂. I wanted to give it two colors so that two levels of the same element would be noticeable. The next step would be to draw the hair and finish the head to move on to the limbs and tweak things little by little. I must say that this was a trial and error process, because I was modifying many things to make it look as good as possible.
Paso a paso
Comencé el proceso de dibujo con una elipse y le ajusté los puntos de ancla con la herramienta pluma para el cuerpo. Luego para la cabeza dibujé un rectángulo y de igual forma modifiqué la estructura con el manejo de la pluma. Para los ojos dibujé una pequeña elipse, la incliné un poco y la dupliqué y rote para que quedaran correctamente.
La nariz pareciera un poco el signo de Ethereum, pero no 😂. Le quise dar dos colores para que se notaran dos niveles del mismo elemento. El próximo paso sería dibujar el cabello y terminar la cabeza para pasar a las extremidades e ir ajustando las cosas poco a poco. Debo decir que este fue un proceso de prueba y error, porque fui modificando muchas cosas para que quedara lo mejor posible.
There were many steps that I didn't capture, but as you can see in the images what were the hands I decided to modify it later to be the feet (or paws) and then I wanted to draw some claws but I thought it would be better to draw some gloves because it would be more in tune with the competitive attire of this lion.
For the next step I wanted to draw shadow and light details, as well as the pores that the lion has under the snout. See in the following images how the process was and how looked the result:
Hubo muchos pasos que no capturé, pero como pueden ver en las imágenes lo que eran las manos decidí modificarlo luego para que fueran los pies (o las patas) y entonces luego quise dibujar unas garras pero pensé que mejor serían unos guantes pues estaría más a tono con el atuendo competitivo de este león.
Para el próximo paso quise dibujar detalles de sombra y luz, así como los poros que tiene el león debajo del hocico. Vean en las siguientes imágenes cómo fue el proceso y cuál el resultado:
I think that drawing Tommy was very enriching for me and I approached for the first time these issues of shadow and light. I also wanted to explore with related colors and for that I found coolors.co very helpful, which offers a very rich and varied palette for you to use in your creations or editions.

Creo que dibujar a Tommy me resultó muy enriquecedor y abordé por primera vez estas cuestiones de sombra y la luz. Quise también explorar con colores afines y para ello me ayudó mucho la página coolors.co, la cual ofrece una paleta muy rica y variada para que emplees en tus creaciones o ediciones.
